“Atrocious crimes against the Libyan people” (memorandum of Dr. Saïf al-Islam Gaddafi)

“Atrocious crimes against the Libyan people” (memorandum of Dr. Saïf al-Islam Gaddafi)

Mid-November a report by CNN had caused an uproar. According to the American television channel, in Libya refugees are auctioned as slaves. On a recurring basis the main Western media report catastrophic conditions for refugees in Libya. But it does almost never mention how it came to these catastrophic and chaotic situations in Libya.

In October 2017. Dr. Saïf al-Islam Kadhafi, son of Muammar al-Gaddafi, wrote a memorandum for the postponement Herland. You can find more information about Saif Kadhafi in emissions that appear [www.kla.tv/11375, http://www.kla.tv/11613%5D.

Herland is a political portal on the Internet, which was founded by the Norwegian Hanne n Herland, writer and historian of religions. The internet portal has about a million visitors per month.

The memorandum of Saif al-Gaddafi was published in different languages in the world. Its goal is to clarify some facts and describe the terrible crimes committed against the Libyan people. The introduction of the memorandum indicates that these crimes were committed in the name of humanitarian military intervention. He said that civilians must be protected, introduced democracy and prosperity. The Member States of NATO attacked Libya with all the weapons at their disposal, and with the help of some Arab States and some Libyans. The justification was as phony as that of the military intervention in Iraq in 2003, because it was actually the systematic destruction of a sovereign State and a peaceful nation. The memorandum aims to publicize the crimes committed by the international community, human rights organizations and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The Libya and its people in their tireless efforts should be helped to rebuild this small country. This is for the submission of the memorandum.

SAIF Kadhafi tells how the supposedly peaceful uprising began early 2011 as part of the Arab and how a propaganda machine against Muammar al-Gaddafi has in the meantime been put on. The cruel crimes perpetrated by the so-called peaceful demonstrators are listed with their sources.

The second part describes how the International Criminal Court (ICC) has implemented two weights and two measures in the Libyan civil war and in the intervention of NATO. While Libyan politicians were associated with fictitious crimes, the barbaric murder of Kadhafi and his son al-Moutassim by militias supported by NATO was ignored and not sentenced.

In a third part are listed the human rights violations committed by Libyan militias and their leaders. The militias have also practiced ethnic cleansing, the traffic in organs of prisoners, etc. In addition, militias and their leaders have destroyed vital Libyan infrastructure, as Tripoli airport and the air fleet, in July 2014. All these crimes have been ignored by the international community and United Nations agencies.

Finally, the fourth part of the memorandum lists the atrocities committed by NATO against the civilian population. Many civilians have been killed by NATO air operations. After that NATO had helped the militias to govern the Libya, still more terrible terrorist crimes have been committed against Libyans and foreigners. Human Rights Watch had reported all these victims and, in some cases, NATO admitted that she was responsible for the deaths of these innocent people. However, the International Criminal Court has issued no arrest warrant against militia leaders or NATO forces.

If the memorandum of Saif Gaddafi is true, the International Criminal Court would be a Stirrup of the United Nations and NATO, a political instrument for the further justification for war crimes. Human rights violations are not reported because the human rights would be violated, but only in order to obtain the benefits in terms of power politics. The Libyan case was intended to get rid of a bad leader, Muammar al-Gaddafi, despite the disastrous consequences for the country.

Subsequently, we publish the memorandum drafted by Mr. Saïf al-Islam al-Gaddafi, which appealed to many sources. The translation of Arabic to the french has been verified by Klagemauer.TV.

EXCLUSIVE Memorandum on Libya: Fabrications against the State, Leadership and Army – by Dr. Saif al-Islam Gaddafi

EXCLUSIVE Memorandum on Libya: Fabrications against the State, Leadership and Army – by Dr. Saif al-Islam Gaddafi

Dr. Saif al-Islam Gaddafi is the son of the late Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi. This memorandum has been given to The Herland Report

In the Name of Allah (God) the Most Gracious and Compassionate.

This memorandum aimed to pinpoint some of facts that the Libyan people were subjected to during the past six years where the most horrendous crimes were committed against its people, writes Dr. Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, son of the late Libyan leader, Muammar Gaddafi.

These crimes were committed under the name of human intervention, protection of civilians, introducing democracy and prosperity where the NATO forces, with the help of some Arab countries and a few Libyans, attacked Libya with all weapons under its disposal. The justifications put forward were as false as the invasion of Iraq in 2003, and in fact it was a systematic destruction of a sovereign country and a peaceful nation.

Thus far, this memorandum is trying to present these crimes to the international community, human rights organisation and NGOs in order to stand by Libya and its people in its countless efforts to rebuild this small country.

Libya on the Cross Roads: The Beginning

Libya’s agony began on 15th February 2011 when a number of protests gathered, in its routine, to demonstrate in support for the Abu Saleem prisons incident. The demonstration was soon hijacked by elements of Jihadist groups such the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group LIFG. They attacked police stations and army barracks in Derna, Benghazi, Misratah and Al-Zawayh aiming at collecting weapons to be used in their planned war against the Libyan people and its legitimate government.

All these actions accompanied by a propaganda machine were launched by Aljazeera channel, Al-Arabiya, BBC, France 24 and others which were encouraging the Libyan people to confront the state police who try to protect governmental buildings and people’s properties from attacks and lootings.

Horrific scenes unfolded in the streets, bridges, and security forces buildings where the demonstrators committed unspeakable crimes against humanity. Security forces, military personnel and policemen were slaughtered as their throats were cut, their hearts were taken out of their bodies and their bodies cut into pieces in a real show of brutality and savageness.

For instance, in the first day of unrest 16-02-2011 and in the city of Misrata, the so called peaceful demonstrators have killed and burnt a man named Musa Al-Ahdab.  On the same day and in Benghazi a police officer was killed and his limbs were cut in pieces (1).

Those barbaric actions were committed by the armed demonstrators as they were using tanks, machine guns and anti-aircrafts machine guns throughout the cities of Misrata, Benghazi and Al-Azawiyah (2). These acts and scenes are well documented and can be seen on YouTube (3) and across social media.

Thus, the fallen victims were in their tens contrary to what was reported by the biased media. According to Aljazeera, Al-Arabiya and the Libyan oppositions groups, by the end of 2011 the number of people killed reached 50,000. However, in 2012 Abdulrahaim Alkeeb’s government announced that the number of victims from 17th February 2011 to the end of the war in October 2011 were 4,700 including the people who died via natural death (4). The highly claimed number of victims remained statistics figures without releasing the victims’ names or their identity as well as to claim for compensation from the governments.

The propaganda campaign and lies that accompanied the military insult did not stop at the aggregation of the victims but claimed that the regime used military aircrafts to attack the civilians, reported rapes by the army and security forces (5), Viagra found in tanks (6), African and Algerian mercenaries fighting along the Libyan army and the airmen defections to Malta (7). None of these claims proven until today and in fact bears any truth what so ever. UN, Western investigations, Amnesty International and the Human Rights Watch (8) have not proven any case of rip from the total of 8000 reported cases by the Libyan opposition figures.

In fact, all these cases were fabricated and lacked credibility. On the same ground, the use of Mirage aircraft from Al-Weathy airbase in the far West of Libya to attack the civilians in Benghazi also bears no weight as these aircrafts could not attack targets in Benghazi and return to its base in the West due to the distance and fuel consumption. It is impossible for this type of aircraft to attack targets in 1500 KM and return without refuelling as well as there were airbases around Benghazi accessible to the Libyan government to be used if needed.

Also, the Viagra found in tanks story was fallen on the same trap as the Libyan army has a professional, moral young army that neither think to commit such crimes nor need Viagra to activate their sexual desires. These fabricated stories are merely a SEX IT UP on the same line with the Iraqi seven minutes WMDs attack. Now, the Iraqi and the Libyan cases became laughing matters by the Iraqi, Libyan people, the American and the European media. (AMNESTY REPORT) (9)

The International Court of Justice (ICC)

The ICC issued a warrant (10) of arrest for Muammar Qaddafi, Saif Al-Islam Qaddafi  (11) and Abdullah Al-Senussi in 2011, charged with crimes against humanity allegedly committed in Libya. Despite the seriousness of the crime, the ICC has not conducted any investigations on the ground (Libya) as well as it reached its conclusions and identified the perpetrators within two weeks from the UN resolution for the ICC to proceed its work. The timing given for the charge to be announced was not presented and was not enough to even issue and investigate traffic penalties.

In this effect, Al-Jehani, the ICC-Libyan government coordinator, asserted that, “the ICC case against Libya was purely political because the NATO countries order the National Transitional Council (NTC) to prepare a list of officials for the ICC to be charged for crimes against humanity”. The NTC assigned Al-Jehani to prepare the list who produced and presented tens of names, however, the ICC selected only the above three names.

In his statement Al-Jehani also added that all the accusation was fabricated. He also asserted his views when he met Saif Al-Islam and told him that it’s impossible for the Libyan judiciary to find you guilty. Al-Jehani added that we (Al-Jehani and his team) fabricated this case against him because we simply knew in advance that the criminal part is a lost case but we brought it forward to implicate Saif Al-Islam in financial and corruption cases. Al-Jehani has justified his fabrications and lies as these lies are permissible during wars but it’s hard to be proven in the law of court, (Al-Jehani statement documented on 1/1/2012 and field in Al-Zintan court).

The ICC adopted a double standard on Libya’s civil war and the NATO intervention, implicating the Libyan political figures in fabricated crimes where ignored and failed to condemn the barbaric killing of Qaddafi (12) and his son Al-Motassem by the NATO backed militias (13).

The only action the ICC made was to drop the case against Qaddafi after his death. However, the ICC had a strong case as the killing was well documented by the media and needs no evidence to bring those responsible to justice. The ICC could also easily reach and arrest these perpetrators as they assumed political positions and diplomatic posts in various European capitals.

A similar position was taken by the ICC against Abduallah Al-Senussi who was kidnapped from Mauritania by the Libyan government (14), it stopped calling for his extradition to stand trial at the ICC. It did not even follow his human rights violation and inhuman treatment in the militia’s prison even though he has been imprisoned by the well-known notorious jihadists, the Libyan Fighting Islamic Group. The head of the prison is the leader of LIFG, Abdul Hakiem Belhadj.

Belhadj is well-known to the CIA and Western governments. The CIA arrested him after his escape from Kandahar, interrogated and extradited to Libya in 2002 charging with terrorism (15). In 2009, he and the LIFG members were released from prison under the General Amnesty Law (16). Belhadj terrorist record speaks for itself. In 1994-97, he ordered a slaughter of 225 people and ordered the killing of the German tourists, Steven Baker and his wife Manuela Spiatzier in 1997.

Nevertheless, he assumed a high-ranking position in Libya. He was a minister of Defence, and is responsible of Tripoli security, General Manager of Libyan prisons and responsible directly of Al-Senussi cell. Bearing in mind Belhadj’s criminal record, the ICC expressed its reassurance that Al-Senussi is in the safe hands and supported his trial in Libya.

The NATO and small Gulf countries ignored Belhadj terrorist activities and recognised him as a political and military leader and above all a businessman. He owned the biggest TV station in North Africa, biggest airline company in Libya, cement factory, properties in Spain and Turkey and a private airport in Tripoli. This airport, however, has been used to channel and transport the terrorists from Libya to Syria. These terrorists were financed which was estimated to be 160 billion worth of dollars in 2010. Belhadj and others are responsible of the misuse of Libya’s assets and putting an end to Libya’s development plan worth 200 billion of dollars according to the World Bank. Belhadj is one example to the warlords’ lavish life where the ordinary Libyan citizens were plunged into severe poverty.

The Militias Human Rights Abuses

The militias’ leaders and war lords has committed heinous crimes against humanity, destroyed cities and vital infrastructures throughout the past six years. The following are few of the listed crimesPeople were burned, cooked alive and subjected to the ugliest forms of torture. Political prisoners, security personals and soldiers were thrown in the Iron and Steel smelting furnaces plant of Misratah. Above all, the militias traded in the prisons’ human organs. With the Libyan political scene growing more complicated, IS has also added more atrocities by slaughtering, crucifying people and cutting their organs in dramatic senses.

Unprecedented racial and ethnic cleansing, genocide was committed against five Libyan cities and its people. 55% of Libyan people were forced to flee their country to the neighbouring countries. In addition, hundreds of houses were burnt in Bani Walid (17) and five other cities in Warshafana (18).

Furthermore, the destruction and flattening of the city of Sirte (19) and bombardment of residential populated areas in Benghazi (20) and Dernah. Even the cosmopolitan Tripoli faced the same faith of ethnic and racial cleansing especially in the areas loyal to Qaddafi.

Besides the systematic human rights abuses, the militias and their leaders destroyed the Libyan essential infrastructures (21). In July 2014 (22), they set Tripoli airport (23) and the aviation fleet (24) on fire as well burning number 24 & 25 oil reservoirs (25). Despite the militias destructive actions and brutal torture, the international community and the UN legal bodies ignored all these crimes and failed to bring these warlords to justice (26).

NATO and Libyan Militias’ Atrocities against Civilian and Public Figures

The NATO military aircrafts targeted civilians across various Libyan cities, namely Zlitan, Sirte, Surman, Tripoli and Bani Walid. In the south of Zlitan and precisely in Majeer (27), 84 families mainly women and children were killed in cold blood while they were sleeping by NATO airstrikes (28). Media showed children’s bodies pulled out of rubble and a lady named Minsyah Khleifa Heblow was halved in two and others lay dead in a very disturbing scene.

In another case, the Khawildi Al-Ahmadi family was killed as NATO airstrikes hit their house and consequently killed two of their children (29). Also, Al-Jafarh family were killed in Bani Walid (30) as NATO targeted their house during the Holy month of Ramadan. Not to mention, the well documented and deliberate NATO Arial bombardment of Qaddafi and his convoy in Sirte and the killing of Qaddafi’s youngest son, Saif Al-Arab in his house in Tripoli (31).

The human rights abuse and systematic killing and torture of Libyan civilians continued after the militias assumed control of Libya. These people were civilians that did not participate in the civil war and the majority were old and cannot carry weapons. The popular comedian Youssef Al-Gharyani was detained and tortured by Al-Zawiyah militias.

Misratah militias has also detained and tortured the eighty-year-old and the Libyan Mufti in the 1970s, Al-Shaiek Al-Madani Al-Shwearief (32), because he did not approve and support the NATO intervention in Libya (33). The famous Libyan singer, Mohammed Hassan, was abused and put under house arrest (34). Others like the economist expert in the Ministry of Finance, Dr Abdul Hafied Al-Zalatni, was tried and sentenced to years of imprisonment.

Likewise, the Head of Islamic Call Society, Dr Mohammed Al-Shareef was sentenced for long term imprisonment. The Head of Customs Department and the Head of Training at the Ministry of Interior were also sentenced to long term imprisonment along with others who were sentenced to the death penalty and various terms of imprisonments. It’s rather absurd that these public figures were tried for drugs trafficking, human trafficking and rape in addition to 17 other charges (35). The question that presents itself is how all these old professional figures met and conspire together to commit crimes throughout a period of nine months?

After NATO helped those militias to rule Libya, more horrific terrorist crimes were committed against Libyan and foreign nationals. A Coptic man was killed at the Misratah’s battalion (36), murdering number of Coptic men in Sirte (37), murdering a number of Christian Ethiopian workers (38), murdering the American English teacher, Roni Smith, in Benghazi (39), killing the Red Cross staff inMisratah in 2014 (40) and the French Embassy bombing in Tripoli (41), above all, the murder of the American Ambassador in Benghazi, who helped and armed the militias throughout 2011 (42).

All the above victims were reported by the Human Rights Watch and in some cases NATO admitted responsibility of their death.

However, the ICC turned a blind eye and failed to investigate such crimes despite various national and international bodies which demanded to initiate an open and transparent investigation as well as bringing perpetrates to justice. The ICC record showed failure in its responsibility regarding Libya’s civil war. It was evident as it has not produced a single warrant of arrest against these militia leaders and NATO forces. It seemed that it has been a deliberate policy of ICC to ignore these authentic crimes and only focuses on Saif Al-Islam indictment and trial.

When it comes to Qaddafi’s family, the ICC are seen not to be serious as in the case of Al-Saadi Qaddafi torture that the ICC prosecutor claimed that she is still investigating the case. However, he was shown in a video being interrogated and beaten in front of the camera. The same standard applied to the Abduallah Al-Senussi case where the ICC prosecutor claimed that she is still in deliberation of his death penalty. A similar claim was made by her predecessor regarding the bombing and killing of Qaddafi and hundreds in his convoy. The ICC never showed any seriousness in other crimes committed by the militias against thousands of Libyan people, except Saif Al-Islam in order to silent his voice and eliminate potential leadership.

The NATO countries and the Gulf mini-states should be held responsible for the chaos that has been created in Libya since 2011. They intervened in Libya in the pretext of Qaddafi killing his own people. The scenario of a leader killing his own people reminds us of Tony Blair (43)during the Iraq inquiry in 2016. He said it was “the right thing to do and if Saddam had remained in power during the Arab Spring he would have crushed the rebels”. By this kind of speculation, countries were destroyed, thousands of people were displaced and national assets were stolen. As a result of the NATO militarily intervention in Libya, Qaddafi, his sons and thousands of Libyan people were killed and millions more were displaced.

Six years on and the political settlement in Libya is far distant from being realised soon. With a glance, Libyan militias are fighting each other as well as Western countries military forces who are siding with different militias. France remains involved militarily and lost three soldiers in Benghazi in July 2016 by groups that were supporting the 2011 uprising. France then called the uprising a revolution that France ought to support and if its belief was true why is the war continuing today? And why 700 people mainly army officers assassinated? Why were the American Consulate Staff killed in Benghazi? Why the West ignoring is IS barbaric acts of cutting people’s throats in Sirte, Misratah and Dernah?

The answer to the later question is clear, those criminals were supported by the West in 2011 because they were fighting the apostate Libyan government as they claimed. Why was IS wearing the same Libyan soldiers uniform that was imported to the Libyan army in 2012, and who gives it to them?

Why did IS’ members receive a salary from the Libyan Defence Ministry? The answer to the above question is that search for the effective ruler of Libya namely Belhadj, Al-Shareef, the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group and their co-ruler, the National Congress members. Who governs Libya today is well known by Libyan people and by some international NGOs groups. Thus far, Libya today is under the rule of the Islamic Jihadist groups and the West is supporting them despite these groups’ crimes against Libya and its people.

At this moment of time, is it strange that the Western countries as far north as Norway and Canada and to the south, Malta and Italy, not to mention the Qatari forces, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Sudan and Morocco all assembled to launch a military aggression against civilians who were not being hostile against these countries, such as, Saif al-Arab Muammar Qaddafi and Khuwaylidi family and 84 of innocent victims of Madjer?

While these countries are patient and tolerant towards the supports of IS in Sirte, Misrata and Benghazi, they were also celebrating the IS bombings of the French and Belgium cities. Yet, the NATO countries and their allies should attack and bomb them as they did in Libya in 2011.

Finally, in complement of its series of crimes against the Libyans, the Western countries have appointed a war criminal who was responsible for the destruction of Bani Walid and killing of its children, “Abdul-Rahman Al-Swehli” as a head of Libya’s highest authority, the State Council and appointed his nephew, “Ahmed Maiteeq” Vice President, (44)  his niece “Nihad Meitiq” (45) General Director of the Foreign and his brother in law, Faiez Al-Saraj, head of the presidential Council. In addition, Al-Swehli struck a deal with Belhadj, commander of the Islamic Fighting Group, to take the Islamist share of the presidential election.

However, it is well known in Libya that if elections were to be held today, the above-mentioned persons will not guarantee and secure even their family members’ vote. Belhadj popularity was demonstrated in the parliamentary elections where he got only 50 votes in the Sauaq Al-Joumah district, which has a population of 250 thousand people.

Meanwhile and during writing these lines, the cities of Libya and its population including the capital city Tripoli where a third of Libyan population are inhabited, are suffering water shortages, living in darkness because of power cuts, lacking medical facilities and basic human needs. Per the UN, 65% of hospitals stopped working (46). Whereas the Libyan Dinar lost 300% of its value and oil production fell from 1.9 million barrels a day into 250.000 barrels (47).

To add to the suffering of Libyan people, main roads were cut due to the military operations and act of banditry by the criminal gangs, in addition to the military operations and bombing campaign that stretches from Derna in the east to Sirte to the West through Benghazi and Ajdabiya. The most dominant in the daily news are kidnapping for ransom and booming arms trade to the extent that it is sold through the Internet and advertised on Facebook.

In conclusion, we ought to thank our brothers in Qatar and the UAE, Sudan, Tunisia, the Arab League, the NATO countries, the European Union and the people who helped Libya become a failed state. After the release of Islamist political prisoners and others, Libya became a home for the largest private prisons run by families and militias.

Also, a country attracted investors from around the world to a state exporting migrants including its own citizens, 55% of its population migrated and took refugee worldwide. A state that combined the finest legal and constitution experts in the world, that were able to forge a new and modern constitution, now transformed to a state governed by 1500 militias. And finally, a state where a crime of theft was considered strange and unusual, to a state where human mutilated bodies and decomposed bodies were dumped on the streets and road sides, which became a routine and normal across the country every morning.

The Herland Report comments:

Saif Al-Islam Qaddafi and the ICC case

Before the uprising, Saif Al-Islam was the architect of the new Libya. He presented his new vision of Libya free of political prisons, committed to human rights charter, distribution of wealth, prosperity and democracy (48). He embarked on political and economic reforms in Libya whereby the radical Islamic prisoners gained their freedom, rehabilitated and engaged in the Libyan society. Once the violent uprising erupted in some Libyan cities, local sources confirm that he offered his help by engaging in human relief efforts to help the displaced people around the country, released the uprising prisoners, securing the Misratah people who caught on the cross fire and sheltered the Benghazi people who fled the fighting areas.

(Photo: Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, Getty)

He also called and supported the peace efforts to solve the Libyan civil war. According to sources on the ground, he asked the University of Sirte’s administration to print 5000 leaflets and distributed to the peaceful convoy to Benghazi contained observing human rights, calling for the army to uphold the rule of engagement and prohibiting the use of force against the protesters. The later was stated by the Head of the Joint Operation Chamber in the 2011 Libyan war, Marchal Al-Hadi Embarrish, who was taken as a prisoner of war by the Al-Zintan militias, badly treated and deprived from medical treatment until he died of cancer in prison in 2014 (49).

Despite Saif Al-Islam Qaddafi’s tireless peace efforts, NATO aircrafts targeted him in an attempt to assassinate him that resulted in a permanent disability and killing of 29 of his comrades (50). Also, he lost his fingers and suffered multiple injuries. Yet, the ICC did not investigate the airstrike, nor oversee his five years of solitary confinement condition and his human rights generally. Furthermore, the ICC persisted demanding his arrest and trial despite he was sentenced to death by a Libyan court that set-in Al-Hadbah prison under Khaled Al-Shareef, the right man of Belhaj.

For these reasons, the unfair trail and dismissal of the case is the only outcome that should be endorsed. Indeed, it could be argued that the case should be completely dropped especially after the Attorney General assassination in Benghazi and fleeing most Public Prosecution team as they faced an immense pressure from the militias. With all these circumstances, the ICC arguments were that his death sentence has not been implemented and therefore he should be arrested and jailed in Al-Hadhaba prison.

However, his death sentence was appealed by the Libyan Ministry of Justice on the ground of unfair trial since the court was set in a prison controlled by the Al-Shareef who has power over the court and the judges. Nevertheless, the ICC continued calling for his retrial and turned a blind eye on the fact that Saif Al-Islam was in the Al-Zintan prison and the Tripoli court had tried him via close circuit TV. Therefore, the ICC should respect the Libyan law and be aware that a person should not be tried twice for one alleged crime. But the end game for the West and ICC is to get rid of Saif Al-Islam Qaddafi as they did with his father Qaddafi and his brothers.

It is time for the ICC to drop its double standards and side with the Libyan people in their ultimate aim that to salvage their country from these militias and build a new Libya where human rights, prosperity, development and rule of law prevails. We also call upon the ICC to drop its call for Saif Al-Islam to be extradited and tried by the ICC.

Instead, the ICC should recognise and respect the Libyan Ministry of Justice General Amnesty Law by which Saif Al-Islam Qaddafi should assume his role in the struggle for a new democratic Libya. In this respect and after the Western countries began to see their mistake, they should work with the sincere Libyans and NGOs to bring these militias and their leaders to justice for the sake of peace and reconciliation.

NEWS FROM OCCUPIED LIBYA APRIL 2015

Lyon: any party may propose amendments to the draft should be sent before May 3rd.

His majesty has spoken and if we do not do what he say’s there will be blood to pay… So King Leon who represents UNZION has ordered us to propose amendments whether we like it or not wow who is the DICTATOR now? So here is a preview of what this asshole pro MUSLIM BROTHERHOOOD had to say to us:

Bernardino Leon President of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (file: Internet) (photo:)

Bernardino Leon pro MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD & President of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (file: Internet)

The head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Bernardino Leon, the Libyan draft political agreement seeks to establish a government capable of separation of powers, executive authority.

He called on all parties to Lyon in the event of approval of the draft or having some reservations being communicated and send any proposals for changes in the date of the third of May.

Leon said in a press release on Wednesday morning in New York: «The draft political agreement will put an end to the political and military conflict in the country». **** Yeah right!!! I am wondering what kind of drugs he is taking  to believe such BS this will never happen and especially when the want to promote Belhaj the most wanted terrorist in the world a political leader in Libya who by the way has sworn allegiance to Isis/Daesh but the western media is blacking out, I wonder why?

The document text expanded to drafts that are discussed in the dialogue rounds, offering a vision of institutional restructuring and security arrangements that support the path of the transition period, according to the Libyan news agency.

And draft details Lyon said: «The draft agreement provides for a transition period is limited not to exceed two years, and outlines democratic principles including the peaceful transfer of power, and a commitment to the results of the June elections 2014 fair, in addition to the establishment of a government capable of separation of powers, executive authority» . **** when he says two years he is exaggerating, the same thing was done in 2011 and look where we are! Still a failed nation, starving, poor, thousand of people killed. So again while reading from his script that the Elitists gave him does he really believe that he is doing everything? No he hasn’t spoken to the tribes and I am sorry your majesty if you haven’t spoken to the tribes everything is null and void… Start over we are a stubborn bunch not easy to conquer and especially when we were free for 42 years and we have tasted what it meant to be free from you assholes… so again on what drugs is he on?????

Austrians bought out of Libyan Cement Company by local investor

Benghazi-based Libya Holdings Group is buying out the Austrian majority owner in the Libyan Cement Company, in a deal which will give it control of the largest cement maker in North Africa.

The Austrian building materials firm Asamer bought into LCC when it was privatised in 2008 paying LD 200 million for a 50.6 percent share. The remaining equity was held by the Economic and Social Development Fund. Ten percent of the ESDF’s shares were supposed to be distributed to the workers.

Last year Asamer ran into financial troubles and some of its assets, including its shares in LCC, were transferred to a holding company for disposal. It is from this holding company, QuadraCir that Libya Holdings is acquiring ownership at an undisclosed price in a deal which is likely to be sealed this Thursday.

LCC contributed to Asamer’s financial woes. It has three plants with 2,300 employees. Despite sending four aid convoys to its workers during the revolution, the management quickly ran into industrial unrest after Qaddafi’s defeat. Staff demanded to be paid LD33 million in wages for when the three plants, two in Benghzi and one outside Derna, were idle.  A crippling strike and threat to 33 foreign employees forced Asamer to shut the plant.

Production was beginning to restart when violence returned to Benghazi. Both the factories in that city are in Hawari, one of the main centres of fighting against Ansar Al-Sharia. Neither is currently operational.

Ahmed Ben Halim, the founder of Libya Holdings has said the deal is worth “tens of millions of dollars”. He added that it would also involve Libya Holdings investing millions more in upgrading production facilities.

Halim’s father Mustafa Ahmed Ben Halim was King Idris’ prime minister for three years until 1957 and lived in exile after Qaddafi came to power.

Halim said that Libya Holdings was being backed on the LCC deal by 15 investors from “the Arabian Peninsular” including Saudis, Kuwaitis and citizens of the UAE as well some investors based in Europe.

As we are talking about Austria today is the anniversary of Shokri Ghanem who was murdered in Vienna on the 29/4/2012 but still we do not know why he was assassinated. Here are some questions not yet answered:

Why did they have to assassinate him  after agreeing to testify to the Attorney General in outside Libya? Why progress immediately after the Attorney General Abdulaziz Alhsada his resignation in March 2013 and claimed it for health reasons?

The resignation of Attorney General the issue of the assassination of Shokri Ghanem?
Why was the assassination of then Attorney General Abdulaziz Alhsada in April 2014?
Was it intended to assassinate Attorney General because he was very close in discovering who was involved in the assassination of Shokri Ghanem file?

Why the world press and the media ignored the subject of assassination,  despite its importance in terms of the person and the time, place and event?
Pain cheering every February, and the leaders of the West vindictive man to split the system and listing factual lot of competencies and abilities and considered a victory for them. Is the paper burned after its secession and ended its importance?

Is it that these cases stay under lock and key? Like its predecessors NTC who still have not found the killers and who gave the order to murder General Younis and his two companions, and dozens of issues have they become forgotten?
Don’t these people have rights under the citizenship of a Libyan in this chaos and the law of the jungle and the Government and Parliament of gangs and militias that forcibly classify and say they want democracy, freedom and legitimate institutions and dress falsely?
..
This is not the issue. But we will not accept in any way that the Libyan people are killed in this horrific way in a European capital without knowing the details and the perpetrators and why? Why the silence of the Criminal Investigations Office in Austria for pursuing the case and revealed details?  Was Shokri Ghanem spill the beans on who really was involved in the false flag of 2011 and the agencies were worried? As the whole protect the civilians was a total BS?  Many questions that no one is willing to give answers too as the Great empire with Israel would crumble…

Shokri Ghanem (Secretary of the General People’s Committee as well as the Secretary of the General People’s Committee for Economy and Trade, as well as the General Secretariat of the National Oil Corporation and was director of research at the International OPEC) was assassinated in the streets of one of the capital in Austria

Private Plane Full of Foreign Diplomats Lands in Misurata

by JoanneM

Reporting raw intel from the ground in Libya.

Two nights ago very early in the morning, a private jet landed at the Misurata airport. This plane was carrying 16 Americans, 4 French people and 3 Swedish people all carrying diplomatic passports.

They were picked up by someone who took them to the home of Ali Dbeeba. Most Libyans will recognize the name of Dbeeba, he was in the government of Libya before the 2011 illegal NATO war. He turned against his country and joined the radical Islamists, he is a traitor. But it was to his home that the foreign diplomats were taken.

It is pretty obvious that this group was sent by the Zionist cabal to discuss the impending attack on ISIS from the Egyptian army. Of course the Zionist, one world order, criminals are not at all happy about this attack. First of all they conquered Libya by illegal means but they own it now and they want to keep it, the Libyan people be damned. Second. the military industrial complex that makes them billions of dollars by selling weapons to both sides of the war on terror, is not working this time as they are not involved.

We don’t know what was discussed by this private visit but today in Tripoli there are big conflicts starting with the UN representative (Leon), himself a Zionist and other western Zionist representatives. The militias that illegally control Tripoli by force are finally showing their TRUE colors. They are radical psychopathic Islamists that never had any intention of negotiating with the legitimate Libyan government. They don’t want peace, they want ultimate control by any means and they want all the wealth of Libya and they will never give it up unless they are forced to; which is something that is going to happen and there are no amount of words that can stop it. The great Tribes of Libya and the Libyan army (not Haftar – he is a CIA traitor) will clean their country of this rubbish and there will be blood, it is the only way as no one cannot negotiate with terrorists.

God Speed them to victory and help them to bring home the 2 million Libyans who are forced to live in exile while these foreign scum mercenaries sit on their land

Doubts cast on Cyrenaica TV killings

Doubts are being cast on yesterday’s reports of the five-member TV crew of Cyrenaica TV having been killed by the Islamic State (IS).

Despite allegations that bodies had been found, either near Beida or Derna, there have been no pictures published,  no statements from officials who would normally quick to indict IS for such a crime, and the families in Ajdabiya of four of the TV team say they have heard nothing.

The government’s official spokesman, Hatem Oraibi, has meanwhile said that the administration knows nothing about any bodies being found.  Nor have hospitals anywhere in the east of the country reported five bodies being brought in.

The five were seized on 5 August last year while they were driving back to Ajdabiya from Tobruk where they had been filming the inauguration of the House of Representatives.

For its part IS is reported first to have put out a statement denying the killings, then another denying that it had put any such statement.

“It’s just rumours on Twitter,” said a Libyan reporter who has been in touch with the families. “There is no reason to believe it’s true.”

Family feud turns deadly in Sebha

A four-hour gun battle between two families in Sebha yesterday left two men dead and several others injured.

The fight broke out in the New Hijara area of Sebha, behind the town’s pasta factory.  A disagreement between two members of the family led to shots being fired.  In the end two men were shot and killed.  Hassan Jumaa Hagar, a 30-year old, and Ibrahim Faraj Al-Senussi, 26, both received fatal wounds to the chest.

The injured include Ibrahim’s 65-year-old father, Faraj Al-Senussi, as well as Mohammed Hassan Khalifa, Mohamed Abubaker Adam, Hamid Ahmed Al-Sunni and Ahmed Ibrahim.  It is thought that some of the injured were simply bystanders and not directly involved in the dispute.  They are all in stable condition.

After police barricaded the street, family elders were brought in and able to bring an end to the fighting.  The incident is now being investigated by the police.

Refugees in Libya face despair from all sides

Thousands of migrants embark on the risky sea journey from Libya to Italy’s Lampedusa Island. The Libyan coast guard is poorly equipped, so are Libyan detention centers where for many the journey ends.
Barely a day passes without boats that are hardly seaworthy making their way from the coast of Libya towards Europe. On board are desperate refugees in search of a better future.

Reports about disastrous shipwrecks with hundreds of people drowning are increasing by the day. Instead of dealing with the emergency as one would expect, a strange silence prevails at the Libyan coast guard in the capital Tripoli. It’s almost as if no one is at work.

Rather than counting the boats at his disposal, Shubi Bisher who is in charge of operations, counts the boats that need repairs. He complains that there is a lack of spare parts. “I have a private boat, we use that sometimes,” Shubi said. “We use our own facilities.”

Since January 2015, the Libyan coast guard no longer goes out on patrol. They only operate when they get information that a refugee boat is making its way to the Italian island of Lampedusa. The 1,800 kilometer-long (1,118 mile) Libyan coastline makes it hard to detect all tugs and refugee boats heading towards Italy. Lampedusa lies around 300 kilometers away.

One million people on ‘waiting list’

According to estimates by the European Commission, nearly one million people are waiting in Libya to make their trip to Europe. Anyone caught by the police without a valid residence permit ends up in a Libyan detention center.

Former Libyan president Moammar Gadhafi had a close cooperation with Europe on migration.

A Libyan coast guard points towards a broken down boat.

The Libyan Coast Guard suffers from depleted resources

Libya supervised its coast and prevented refugees from leaving Libyan territory. Instead they were kept in detention centers.

But since the fall of Gadhafi in October 2011, the Libyan state rapidly collapsed. Different militias now control large parts of the country, making it easy for human smugglers to traffic immigrants across the country, and cram them into boats heading to Europe.

Mohamed Baithi, head of Libya’s coast guard, says most of the migrants do not wish to return to Libya. “They want to go to Europe, sometimes if we bring them back, they cry or they try to destroy our boat,” Baithi told in an interview. Most refugee boats send out distress calls which are picked up by the coast guard. Merchant ships or nearby fishing vessels are then obliged under international maritime law to come and rescue the refugees. “They must take all these people on board,” Baithi said.

Deplorable detention camps

Lamin Kebe sits barefoot in the courtyard of one detention camp located in Zawiya, some 50 kilometers west of Tripoli. The Senegalese national is one of the 8,000 migrants currently holed up in such a camp, according to the current Libyan Interior Minister Khalifa Gwell.

Children sit on top of table inside a Libyan detention camp.

The inmates of Libya’s detention camps include women and children

Despite harsh conditions in the detention centers, Zawiya Kebe and about 420 other detainees still carry the hope that brought them to Libya. They are held for weeks or months by Libyan authorities.

During that time, they may not work or leave the country. “They lock us inside our rooms and treat us like dogs,” says 19-year-old Boubaker Bari from Guinea. He says guards occasionally beat and insult them. “They wear respirators because they say we stink.” Only five showers are available for the more than 400 inmates.

No help from Libyan authorities

The poor conditions in the camp are causing friction. The migrants are becoming increasingly violent says Lieutenant Khaled Attumi, head of the Zawiya detention center. “They constantly try to escape and yesterday they tried to beat up a policeman.”

Attumi says he understands the situation the migrant detainees find themselves in. “The food is bad – sometimes they get bread, sometimes they don’t,” he said. “This is now the third year in a row that the government has not provided a single dinar for this institution, what can I do? If it continues like this, I will let them run away.”

That would open up the way for yet more migrants to try to come to Europe. Libyan coast guard Shubi Bisher says the refugees know that they are risking their lives. “In January, a fishing boat crew found four bodies hanging in their net but the coast guard does not even have money for body bags,” Shubi said. “It’s a disaster.”

It is well-known that ISIS was founded and is supported by the CIA so you have a traitor in your midst and he will steal your country from you. PLEASE WAKE UP

PLEASE BE ADVISED TO ALL WHO READ THIS – NOW IS THE TIME TO STEP UP AND HELP YOUR LIBYAN BROTHERS WHO FIGHT THIS EVIL FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD

So the UN is complaining what a shame! Let us help the UN to understand WHY? UN: Libya armed groups attacking human rights defenders

So the UN is complaining what a shame! Let us help the UN to understand WHY? UN: Libya armed groups attacking human rights defenders

Ok! finally the UN is complaining about the situation in Libya and its activists who by the way most of them are expatriates who lied, begged, blackmailed the western world to come and bomb Libya because Qaddafi went crazy and massacred his people who later was proved to be a LIE. The plans of USA and its allies which is France and England ordered the UN to go ahead with the No-fly zone to protect the civilians, so where did all those activists and allies go wrong? I can not imagine that the activists who are CIA assets installed in Libya are naive they knew exactly what they were doing. They are all responsible for the destruction of Libya and have blood on their hands for killing thousands of civilians with depleted uranium bombs, sex slavery, organ trafficking and children trafficking.

These activists that the UN is so worried about their safety are no activists… It says in this article that some activists are being threatened even abroad that is a blatant lie, because colleagues of mine and I included have not been threatened by Armed groups but we have been threatened by secret agencies there is a difference. Lets not forget that the UN and its people like Bernandino Leon are pushing for Muslim Brotherhood to be installed by force in Libya and they are protecting these armed groups so my question to the UN why are you complaining?

These people are your people they are not TRUE LIBYANS they are Libyans born outside Libya and grew up with western ideas which has nothing to do with the Libyan society. I will not say that I am glad that they are killed or kidnapped but I am sure YOU HAVE YOUR AGENDA in not helping them, maybe they found out your true face and they had to be silenced, it will not be the first time or the last.

Your Human Rights defenders where the ones LYING  to the world about the atrocities that supposedly Qaddafi did because your bosses told you so, only to come a year later to deny everything… and you think that the Libyan people have forgotten your role?  You believe that we have forgotten that the Red Cross would supply YOUR freedom fighters with arms instead of helping civilians. Or do you think we have forgotten your “doctors without borders”helped these armed groups to revive prisoners of war so that they would be tortured again?

You have the audacity to claim that the tribes are involved in this killing how dare you? Where were you when the whole of Bani Walid was attacked by your ARMED GROUPS with WHITE PHOSPHORUS AND SARIN gases? You did nothing to help the children and civilians you just stood there SILENTLY and now you are complaining… these groups are your groups you armed them, trained them, financed them and you brought them in Libya. It serves you rightly what is happening now to your people who never had the balls to stand up and say no.

All of you are responsible for what is happening in Libya and still you are insisting to install by force these armed groups who are a menace to society and to the world so that you can please Israel, SHAME ON YOU in destroying so many lives. What is happening now in Libya will happen to you very soon by your own people.

When you decided to illegally bomb Libya you should have thought of all the con’s and pro’s but you were hasty as you thought it was your chance to steal everything from Libya and not considering that you can not control Libya.

Libya by its own right after 42 years has understood its worth we are not the Libyans you thought you left behind in 1969. Every single Libyan after 1969 understood that we were a thorn to your eye because of our geopolitical position, our oil, our gold and other resources. We knew it was a matter of time that you would invade us. What you didn’t know was that we are a STRONG TRIBAL SOCIETY not like the Saudis or the Qataris and Qaddafi knew exactly what he was doing supplying every civilian with arms.

Qaddafi is laughing from his grave because after FOUR YEARS you still can not control us…. and you will never be able to find the recipe of having all the TRIBES united.. but you can not divide them the only tribe you have under your control is Misurata which supplies you the Armed groups that you are complaining now…. You tend to forget that the Misurata people are a mixed race from Jewish and Turkish origin. You believe that they are your friends but they are not they will betray you eventually and by the looks of it they already have. My suggestion, if you want peace in Libya START TALKING TO THE HONORABLE TRIBES AND THE LEGAL GOVERNMENT AND LET GO OF THE TERRORIST GANGS THAT YOU WANT TO INSTALL BY FORCE… because if you do not, things will escalate even worse and terrorists from all the world will come to Libya and then travel to Europe and there is nothing you can do to stop them…  So stop complaining and lift the ban for arms so that the Libyan Army can clean our country.

[JURIST] Armed groups in Libya are deliberately attacking human rights defenders, according to a UN report [text, PDF] released Wednesday. Attacks have increased since fighting escalated in May 2014 and have been documented in a joint report [press release] by the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) [official websites]. Attacks include killings, abductions, torture, unlawful deprivation of liberty and threats via phone and social media. Prominent civil society activist Entissar al-Hassaeri was shot and killed in Tripoli last month [UN report], and two members of the National Commission for Human Rights-Libya, a human rights NGO, were abducted in central Tripoli. Both individuals have been released, but other activists remain missing. Many activists are receiving threats against themselves and their families even after leaving the country. The National Council for Civil Liberties and Human Rights in Libya closed its offices in Tripoli in late 2014 as a result of such threats. Armed groups across all ideological, political and tribal divides are responsible for the attacks after many human rights activists were drawing attention to the widespread human rights abuses across Libya. The joint report stresses a need for stronger state institutions, especially in law enforcement and criminal justice. It also calls upon neighboring countries to issue emergency visas to threatened or attacked human rights activists.

WHO WILL PAY THE DAMAGES DONE TO LIBYA? “NATO Leaders Guilty Under US Code of Providing Material Support to Terrorists”

NATO Leaders Guilty Under US Code of Providing Material Support to Terrorists

This article is by Tony Cartalucci posted in “Infowars” but before I post the article my question to the International community is WHO IS GOING TO PAY FOR ALL THE DAMAGES DONE BY NATO LEADERS AND THE TREE SUPER POWERS WHICH IS FRANCE, UNITED KINGDOM AND U.S.A. KNOWN TO ALL LIBYANS AS F.U.K.U.S?

Will these countries PAY compensation for the DESTRUCTION OF A WHOLE LIBYAN NATION? Will these countries together with NATO be HELD ACCOUNTABLE BY THE ICC? Will these countries compensate the MOTHERS that lost their infants? The Genocide of BLACK LIBYANS BY THE THOUSANDS? Will these countries compensate for GENERATIONS TO COME FOR THE 60.000 SORTIES WITH DEPLETED URANIUM BOMBED IN OUR COUNTRY, YOU HAVE ONLY TO TAKE A LOOK AT IRAQ’S DEFORMED CHILDREN? Will these countries compensate LIBYA’S INFRASTRUCTURE WHICH WAS DESTROYED BY THEIR GREED TO TOPPLE THE JAMAHIRYA GOVERNMENT AND MURDER IN COLD BLOOD THE PRESIDENT OF THE COUNTRY? When Will these countries pay for all the terror they have brought to smaller nations just because we want to be INDEPENDENT FROM THE ROTHSCHILD’S BANKING SYSTEM AND FROM THE CORPORATIONS WHO WANT TO STEAL OUR RESOURCES?

Libyan Rebels Listed by US State Department as Terrorists

“Whoever knowingly provides material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization, or attempts or conspires to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 15 years, or both, and, if the death of any person results, shall be imprisoned for any term of years or for life. To violate this paragraph, a person must have knowledge that the organization is a designated terrorist organization (as defined in subsection (g)(6)), that the organization has engaged or engages in terrorist activity (as defined in section 212(a)(3)(B) of the Immigration and Nationality Act), or that the organization has engaged or engages in terrorism (as defined in section 140(d)(2) of the Foreign Relations Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1988 and 1989).”-USC S 2339B. Providing material support or resources to designated foreign terrorist organizations

In March 2011, the London Telegraph reported that Libya’s rebels had direct ties to Al Qaeda and that both leaders and fighters had spent time in both Iraq and Afghanistan combating US troops. The article titled, “Libyan rebel commander admits his fighters have al-Qaeda links” featured Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, who had been captured by the US after fighting Americans in Afghanistan, returned to Libya, and released under a bargain for Hasidi and his Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) militants to abandon extremism and become productive members of society. Quite obviously, and with the US, UK, and NATO’s help, Hasidi and his men went back on this bargain and are now sowing murder and mayhem across Libya.

The New York Time more recently reported in an article titled, “Exiled Islamists Watch Rebellion Unfold at Home” that LIFG has “renounced Al Qaeda and are part of the mosaic of rebel fighters united under the umbrella of the Transitional National Council, the opposition leadership that the United States formally recognized as Libya’s legitimate government.” Of course, “renouncement” is exactly what these very same men did to be released from Qaddafi’s prisons in the first place before immediately taking up arms and laying waste to the nation. The New York Times also notes that exiled LIFG leader Abu Sohaib, currently being harbored in London, is unable to return to Libya because he and LIFG is a listed terrorist across the Middle East and throughout most of Europe, including the UK. His LIFG fighters are noted as having “combat experience in Iraq or Afghanistan,” and that they are part of the “social fabric of eastern Libya,” namely Benghazi, Tobruk, and Darnah in a region often referred to as Cyrenaica.

Image: Taken from a US West Point study, these graphs created by data obtained in Iraq clearly show that Libya’s eastern region, and the cities of Darnah and Benghazi in particular, provided by far more militants found fighting US troops in Iraq than any other nation, including Saudi Arabia. An apt summary of the report can be found at Tarpley.net. (click image to enlarge)

To get a clearer picture of just how much of the “social fabric of eastern Libya” these Al Qaeda LIFG fighters make up, a study from West Point US Military Academy indicates that this region produced more foreign fighters per capita found in Iraq than any other nation including Saudi Arabia. The vast majority of these fighters came from Darnah and Benghazi, the latter being the epicenter of the current Libyan rebellion. The report, explained in detail by geopolitical analyst Dr. Webster Tarpley, proves just how understated the New York Times article is in portraying these terrorists as “part of the social fabric of eastern Libya.” The facts prove quite clearly that terrorism is the social fabric of eastern Libya.

Just this week, the UK Independent provided its readership with a watered down headline that reads, “Rebel military chief says he was tortured by CIA.” The article indicates that the current rebel leader, Abdulhakim Belhaj (aka Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi) is in fact an LIFG founding member, with combat experience in Afghanistan against the Russians, omits that he was also involved in fighting US troops there in 2001, but does mention that he was held by the CIA, then the Libyan government before taking command of NATO-backed rebels in Libya. The Daily Beast reports in an article titled, “Libya’s Powerful Islamist Leader,” that Belhaj was in fact, face-to-face with Osama Bin Laden back in the 1980′s, and that the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) is listed by both the U.S. State Department and the British Home Office as an international terrorist organization.

Image: A screenshot taken directly from the US State Department website showing the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) clearly listed as a foreign terrorist organization. This is important, as US Code prohibits providing material support to listed terrorist organizations. With revelations of Al Qaeda and LIFG fighters leading the Libyan rebellion with NATO-members’ full military, financial, and diplomatic support, attempts are being made to plea ignorance as to the true nature of the rebels. Listed below LIFG, is MEK, an Iraqi/Iranian group also being armed and supported by the US. (click on image to enlarge) ****(as we already know by the revelations of Clinton’s & Obama’s on Benghazigate scandal, the late Stevens was working with the leader of LIFG who is non other than Abdulhakim Belhaj together they moved arms – money – jihadists – sex slaves women and children from Libya to the border of Turkey – Syria were they were met by CIA people who then took over from there. I will let your imagination to make your own conclusions on who murdered the late Stevens it was not the Sharaia or Lifg they would not bite the hand that feeds them.)

With the corporate media’s help, Belhaj/al-Hasidi and his men are being portrayed as reformed terrorists despite the fact that they are still LIFG fighters and LIFG itself is still listed as an international terrorist organization. And while many will applaud the corporate media for coming forward with this information, it should be noted that Pepe Escobar first broke this story on Russia Today, and the US and British propaganda outlets have merely been forced to address the growing public awareness of who these “pro-democracy” rebels really are and what role the US and British governments have had in betraying their people by providing material support for men who literally killed US and UK troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan over the 10 year “War on Terror.”

According to US Code Section 2339A & 2339B, the leaders of NATO, along with the US, UK, and French governments, are clearly guilty of providing a listed terrorist organization with material support in the most egregious, overt case since the code was written. The staggering scale of training, arming, and providing air support for Libyan Islamic Fighting Group militants, listed by the US State Department itself as a terrorist organization, all done criminally under the guise of “international law” rubber stamped by the contrived UN and bolstered with support from the equally contrived International Criminal Court, may be partially why more people are unable to understand the scope of criminality involved in NATO’s intervention in Libya.

A similar situation exists within Iran, where another terrorist organization, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) are being covertly armed and aided in fighting the Iranian government. US policy makers are fully aware that organizations like LIFG and MEK have US blood on their hands. In fact, their only concern is how using such organizations will appear publicly and how such perceptions might threaten their agendas. In the Fortune 500-funded Brookings Institution report, “Which Path to Persia?” we can see clearly the thought process that goes on behind supporting terrorist organizations. Brookings’ only concern is how to remove MEK terrorists from the US State Department list (listed just below LIFG) so they can be supported more overtly in a Libyan-style military intervention.

“Potential Ethnic Proxies,” page 117-118 (page 130-131 of the PDF): ”Perhaps the most prominent (and certainly the most controversial) opposition group that has attracted attention as a potential U.S. proxy is the NCRI (National Council of Resistance of Iran), the political movement established by the MEK (Mujahedin-e Khalq). Critics believe the group to be undemocratic and unpopular, and indeed anti-American.

In contrast, the group’s champions contend that the movement’s long-standing opposition to the Iranian regime and record of successful attacks on and intelligence-gathering operations against the regime make it worthy of U.S. support. They also argue that the group is no longer anti-American and question the merit of earlier accusations. Raymond Tanter, one of the group’s supporters in the United States, contends that the MEK and the NCRI are allies for regime change in Tehran and also act as a useful proxy for gathering intelligence. The MEK’s greatest intelligence coup was the provision of intelligence in 2002 that led to the discovery of a secret site in Iran for enriching uranium.

Despite its defenders’ claims, the MEK remains on the U.S. government list of foreign terrorist organizations. In the 1970s, the group killed three U.S. officers and three civilian contractors in Iran. During the 1979-1980 hostage crisis, the group praised the decision to take America hostages and Elaine Sciolino reported that while group leaders publicly condemned the 9/11 attacks, within the group celebrations were widespread.

Undeniably, the group has conducted terrorist attacks–often excused by the MEK’s advocates because they are directed against the Iranian government. For example, in 1981, the group bombed the headquarters of the Islamic Republic Party, which was then the clerical leadership’s main political organization, killing an estimated 70 senior officials. More recently, the group has claimed credit for over a dozen mortar attacks, assassinations, and other assaults on Iranian civilian and military targets between 1998 and 2001. At the very least, to work more closely with the group (at least in an overt manner), Washington would need to remove it from the list of foreign terrorist organizations.”

US policy makers, working directly for Wall Street and London corporate-financier interests, clearly have no qualms over using or supporting terrorism, with perception management being their only concern. We see this diabolical methodology, precisely articulated in “Which Path to Persia?” now being executed across Libya verbatim. It looks as if there was not enough time to get LIFG off various international lists of terrorist organizations as Brookings had hoped to do with MEK, and instead a concerted effort by the corporate-media and NATO members is being made to downplay the reality that the US, British, French and Qatari governments are openly sponsoring terrorism. Look for similar narratives as seen in Libya to be used in both Syria and Iran – with militant terrorists portrayed as hapless protesters being oppressed by a brutal government, before a full-scale military insurrection followed by a US led military intervention.
