The dire consequences of meddling in Libya

The dire consequences of meddling in Libya

Libya has come a long way – and not at all for the good – since David Cameron proclaimed that the successful campaign to overthrow Colonel Muammar Gaddafi in 2011 ***(that was not a successful campaign if you consider that NATO which includes Britain bombed 60.000 sorties in Libya for 8 whole months which was more than what was used in the WWII combined. As for the overthrow I would not call it that I would call it BRUTAL COLD MURDER, that is exactly what they are preparing for the President of Syria. Makes me wonder where the tables turned around what would the West do if one of their psychopaths leaders was brutally murdered? Surely the American idiotic empire would nuke the country who dared to do such an atrocious act, while we the Libyans cannot complain to the UN (because its even worse than NATO) or to anyone for that matter, the same goes for Syria. We have to swallow our pride and dignity accept stoically what is done to us and move on as nothing really happened. How ironic is this? Everywhere I look or research the analysts say that in 2011 we had a civil war – a civil war to begin it has to have 2 different political poles and you must have the country divided which this was not the case. We had a handful of CIA agents plus snipers and expatriates who wanted to invade Libya and murder in cold blood the president of the country that is a FACT not fiction what Cameron, Obama, Sarkozy, UN and NATO did was an ILLEGAL WAR – MASKED AS HUMANITARIAN INTERVENTION and now we see how successful this campaign is)  provided the perfect template for undertaking future military interventions.

After all the political controversy engendered by Britain’s previous military involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq, Downing Street prided itself on the fact that its Libyan campaign objectives were accomplished without the need for any boots on the ground and, more importantly, without incurring a single British combat casualty.

****(that is a blatant LIE, all English/Americans/French/Dutch/Qatari/Saudi Arabia/Turkey/UAE/Kuwait soldiers and private armies had their families sign a gag order never to say that they were killed in Libya and I have to say yes we did kill quite a few and a lot more imprisoned, we had Sarkozy and Co.(Dutch/Americans and Brits) running up and down to free their bunch.)

For a few months after Gaddafi’s demise, Mr Cameron basked in the warm afterglow of his first personal experience of military conflict, even making triumphant visits to Tripoli and Benghazi, where he was greeted by cheering crowds ****(I wouldn’t say cheering crowds but paid with over a thousand dinars crowd). Indeed, the belief among senior ministers that Libya constituted a great foreign policy success persisted long after the country had descended ****(they did not persisted they were protected by the European and American Secret AGENTS that is how they stayed into power) into chaos, with lawless bands of Islamist militias roaming the country, killing and kidnapping their opponents with impunity. In 2013, when I accompanied William Hague, the then Foreign Secretary, on a visit to Mali, where Libya-based Islamist groups were threatening to overrun the country, I was subjected to several lectures by his entourage on the merits of the Coalition’s Libyan adventure. ****( and this is what your coalition left behind)

These days Libya is so demonstrably a basket case that, with the general election campaign now well under way, I very much doubt we will be hearing any more idle boasts from Tory politicians about their hollow achievements in the country. On the contrary, I suspect they will be doing everything in their power to gloss over the issue, preferring to concentrate on more certain vote-winning issues, such as the strength of the economy, than their meddling in what has now become North Africa’s most troubled region.

Prior to the 2011 campaign, Libya was producing 1.6 billion barrels per day of its “light sweet” variety of crude oil, with significant quantities being sold to British refineries. Total daily output now stands at around 350,000 barrels, none of which is finding its way on to the export market and is barely sufficient to keep Libya’s own refineries operating – those, that is, whose oil tanks have not been set ablaze by rogue rockets fired by Islamist militias.

For while the Libyan economy is in freefall, the far greater concern remains the endemic state of lawlessness that has made the country a virtual no-go zone for Westerners, and indeed many Libyans. By conservative estimates there are around 100 ***(250) different Libyan militias operating in the country – though the actual figure could be three times that number – with more than 125,000 Libyans bearing arms. Assassinations and kidnappings have become so routine throughout the country that in 2013 the Libyan charged with investigating the assassinations was himself assassinated.

The security situation is further complicated by the growing involvement of other regional powers in the conflict, with Egypt’s new military hard man, General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, sending Egyptian warplanes to bomb anti-government rebels, and Turkey ***(USA, UK & QATAR) openly backing Libya’s Muslim Brotherhood organisation – one of the many factions that are competing for power. The growing confidence of Islamist groups in Libya, furthermore, has resulted in the inevitable link-up with Islamic State fighters operating in Syria and Iraq, with the result that Western intelligence officials are now genuinely concerned that, ****(I doubt they are concerned the journalist has to explain why the Western intelligence is financing and training these terrorists, lets not forget that McCain has a camp in the United States where the terrorists ISIS were being trained, lets also not forget that the pentagon has given the go ahead in training these jihadists in Syria, so please explain to me this controversy? Maybe the Western intelligence are worried that it will be found out again like with the Benghazigate scandal you know the one where the ambassador was murdered and he was an arms dealer between the USA – LIBYA – TURKEY FINAL DESTINATION SYRIA)  with large numbers of jihadists travelling to North Africa, it is only a question of time before Libyan-trained terrorists turn their attentions to Europe, and launch a campaign of violence on the streets of Britain and other European cities. ****(My dear Journalist we in Libya do not have Libyan-trained terrorists what we do have are mercenaries that your country brought into our country, we have no desire to kill anyone in Europe or in America other than Cameron, Hague, Obama, Sarkozy, Clinton, Erdogan, the Prince of Qatar and the late king of Saudi Arabia. It’s a wishful thinking, maybe if all Libyans concentrate with his mind on every single person named above, maybe they will die who knows God works in a mysterious ways. BUT THE ONES THAT YOUR COUNTRY HAS TRAINED IT WOULD BE AN IRONY IF THEY CAME TO YOUR COUNTRY AND CAUSE CHAOS THE SAME WAY THEY HAVE CAUSED IN LIBYA, SYRIA, IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, PAKISTAN AND YEMEN)

If that happens, then Mr Cameron and his supporters really will have some explaining to do. Certainly, the fact that the latest round of UN-sponsored peace talks in Geneva yesterday broke up without agreement does not bode well for Libya’s immediate future.

Several grave miscalculations on the part of the Coalition and its allies have created this miserable state of affairs. Whitehall’s ill-judged support for the so-called Arab Spring meant that Britain demanded Gaddafi’s overthrow without any consideration for the likely consequences his removal would have for Libya’s future. Another factor was the Government’s refusal to commit ground troops which, while keeping British casualties to a minimum, meant that Britain and its allies were unable to influence Libya’s post-conflict reconstruction phase in a positive, pro-Western direction. ****(What you do not understand dear Journalist who the f@@k gave the right to the coalition to invade Libya, who ever told you we were dissatisfied with our government? Who ever told you we wanted to follow the pro-Western direction, the only thing we wanted is to become like Dubai well that is what the younger generation wanted and its understandable when all our youngsters had everything, everything was provided for them so they wanted a new toy, to look like Dubai, to have an underground (metro) to have trains, to have private jets, to have concerts, nightclubs and alcohol that is all they wanted, they did not want your culture, your sex slave trafficking, your NO RESPECT FOR OTHER HUMAN BEINGS, your no respect for older people or family values and you have no respect for our tribal customs)

belhaj_mccain_libya_terrorists_

The Coalition’s insistence, moreover, on sticking with its “no boots on the ground” mantra has significant implications for the current military campaign being undertaken against Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria. Bombing Isil positions from 20,000ft, as RAF Tornado GR4 warplanes are doing on a regular basis, represents little more than a token gesture, and has only succeeded in halting Isil’s advance further south in Iraq, rather than forcing it to relinquish the large swathes of territory it seized last summer. And, as delegates arriving in London for tomorrow’s summit on Isil will discover, so long as Britain and its allies lack the political will to deploy ground troops, there is little prospect of ending Isil’s murderous reign of terror in Syria and Iraq. ****(Are you that naive? All these terrorist groups are paid by your taxes, these terrorists are the cheap labour army for the Western countries like yours and America so they do not put boots on the ground and have their asses kicked to hell like it was done in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan…. what better way to invade  MIDDLE EASTERN countries with cheap labour army which is not western so NO ONE CAN CLAIM THAT THE WEST DID THIS!!!! If they used their own army there would be many body bags which the western government could not explain to its people the why they were killed when the Middle east is not a security risk but the only thing the West wants is to steal all of our RESOURCES. But the plan has backfired into your face people are waking up and are understanding the manipulation all of you journalists are doing in the name of freedom and democracy…. which it should be told in the name of slavery and dictatorship. Your colonies one by one is waking up and demanding that you leave their country pay damages which will bankrupt the west… that is what you are fighting for, to keep your comfortable houses, jobs etc, but once its gone from your hands and become poor like the African states and expect the UN to feed you with expired food cans, you will expect Brad and Jolie to come and hold your children’s hands when they will be sold for sex slaves to the elitists or to NEW WORLD ORDER which is Israel then maybe then you will understand how evil you were with the rest of the world.)

Paris attack designed to shore up France’s vassal status: Roberts

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

A former White House official says the terrorist attack that killed 12 people on Wednesday in Paris was a false flag operation “designed to shore up France’s vassal status to Washington.”

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, who was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury in the Reagan Administration and associate editor of the Wall Street Journal, made the remarks in an article published on Thursday.

“The suspects can be both guilty and patsies. Just remember all the terrorist plots created by the FBI that served to make the terrorism threat real to Americans,” he wrote.

He said that the French economy is suffering from the US-imposed sanctions against Russia. “Shipyards are impacted from being unable to deliver Russian orders due to France’s vassalage status to Washington, and other aspects of the French economy are being adversely impacted by sanctions that Washington forced its NATO puppet states to apply to Russia.”

Dr. Roberts stated that French President Francois Hollande this week said that the sanctions against Russia should end. “This is too much foreign policy independence on France’s part for Washington.”

He added that the CIA has apparently resurrected a policy that it followed against Europeans during the post-WW II era when the US spy agency would carry out attacks in European states and blame them on communist groups. ****(That would be the Operation Gladio Sponsored Terrorism in Europe)

Dr. Roberts said now the US agencies have planned false flag operations in Europe to create hatred against Muslims and bring European countries under Washington’s sphere of influence.

He noted that “the attack on Charlie Hebdo was an inside job and that people identified by NSA as hostile to the Western wars against Muslims are going to be framed for an inside job designed to pull France firmly back under Washington’s thumb.”

The widely read columnist stated that the US “government tells Americans whatever story the government puts together and sits and laughs at the gullibility of the public.”

24 reasons ISIS are wrong: Muslim scholars blast Islamic State

24 reasons ISIS are wrong: Muslim scholars blast Islamic State

A large group of Islamic theologians addressed the head of the Islamic State in an open letter, articulately accusing the movement of practices that have nothing to do with Islam, even rejecting the extremists’ right to call themselves jihadists.

Over a hundred Muslim scholars and clergymen from all over the world have released on Wednesday an address to Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, accusing the self-proclaimed caliph and his army of heinous war crimes and violation of fundamental principles of Islam, illiterate use of Islamic scripture torn from the context and perversion of the rules of morality and Sharia law.

“Who gave you authority over the ummah [Muslim people]?” the letter questions. “Was it your group? If this is the case, then a group of no more than several thousand has appointed itself the ruler of over a billion-and-a-half Muslims. This attitude is based upon a corrupt circular logic that says: ‘Only we are Muslims, and we decide who the caliph is, we have chosen one and so whoever does not accept our caliph is not a Muslim,’” the document said.

The letter has been published in two languages, Arabic and English, on a specially-created website. Though the document goes into in-depth analyses of the nuances and exegesis of Islamic texts, the general message is combined on the very first page of the address, outlined in 24 essentials downtrodden by the militants of the Islamic State – according to the authors of the letter.

The absolute majority of the essentials detailed in the letter – 20 out of 24 – have to do with acts forbidden in modern Islam. They deal with many aspects of noble human life: prohibiting such acts as killing of the innocent, prisoners and emissaries (journalists included), denying women and children their rights, the re-introduction of slavery, torture, disfiguring the dead and destroying graves, harming or mistreating believers of other religions of the Scripture, starting armed insurrection, declaring caliphate “without consensus from all Muslims,” as well as issuing fatwas (legal rulings, interpretations of the Islamic law) without proper religious education, mastery of the Arabic language,“oversimplify[ing] Sharia matters” and even “ignoring the reality of contemporary times.”

As the authors of the letter observe, all of those interdictions have been ruthlessly violated by the leadership and members of the Islamic State.

In particular, the document stresses the unprecedented number of people executed by the Islamic State militants for their beliefs.

“You have killed many innocents who were neither combatants nor armed, just because they disagree with your opinion,” the letter said, denying the Islamic State the right to call the faithful to jihad. “There is no such thing as offensive, aggressive jihad just because people have different religions or opinions.”

“Jihad is a noble concept in Islam, told VICE News the national director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Nihad Awad. “It is the right to defend oneself and one’s country. But people cannot take it into their own hands. As an act of aggression, it is a violation,” he said.

They claim to be jihadists, but they are not. I urge everyone not to refer to them as jihadists,” Awad added.

The letter specifically focused attention on POWs being executed by the Islamic State in their thousands in Iraq and Syria.

“You have killed many prisoners,” the document states, addressing Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and his men, “including the 1,700 captives at Camp Speicher in Tikrit in June, 2014; the 200 captives at the Sha’er gas field in July, 2014; the 700 captives of the Sha’etat tribe in Deir el-Zor (600 of whom were unarmed civilians); the 250 captives at the Tabqah air base in Al-Raqqah in August, 2014; Kurdish and Lebanese soldiers, and many untold others whom God knows. These are heinous war crimes,” the address states.

The children who died in IS attacks or were used in combat were added to the list of shameful IS deeds.

“In your schools some children are tortured and coerced into doing your bidding and others are being executed,” the letter says. “These are crimes against innocents who are so young they are not even morally ACCOUNTABLE.”

The letter also calls attention to frivolous handling of the holy texts and intentionally-selective citation of certain passages in order to legitimize atrocities perpetrated by the IS.

It is not permissible to quote a verse, or part of a verse, without thoroughly considering and comprehending everything that the [Koran] and Hadith relate about that point,” the letter notes.

The beheaded American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, and then British aid worker David Haines, were also remembered.

“It is known that all religions forbid the killing of emissaries,” the letter said. “Journalists — if they are honest and of course not spies — are emissaries of truth, because their job is to expose the truth to people in general.”

The slavery that returned to the Middle East with the rise of the Islamic State was not ignored in the document either.

Despite Islam’s consensus taking decision to abolish slavery over a century ago, “Islamic State militants have captured women from minority communities and forced them to marry fighters or sold them into slavery.”

The most effective ideological critics of the IS should come from within the Muslim community, shared Nihad Awad, who believes that the open letter is “intended for a conservative audience” and is “very convincing.”

“People should know that what ISIS is doing is not Islam,” Muzammil Siddiqi, the chairman of the Fiqh Council of North America, which facilitated publication of the letter, told VICE News. “It’s important that a large number of scholars are speaking up and saying this is wrong.”

Just As The Islamic State (ISIL) Gets Exposed As A Fake US Enemy, A “Wag the Dog” Terrorist Attack in Paris?

Just As The Islamic State (ISIL) Gets Exposed As A Fake US Enemy, A “Wag the Dog” Terrorist Attack in Paris?

Editors note: This article from Global Research confirms what I have been writing since August 2011 the only difference with Global Research they have the means and the writers which I do not have. I was not very good at writing essays and I am no journalist.

By Joachim Hagopian

With information just breaking that the United States has been air dropping arms, food and medical supplies to Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) forces in Iraq, supposedly the world’s latest terrorist enemy on steroids, what has been suspected all along is now being confirmed.

To add fuel to the fire, this news comes just as warmonger Senator McCain got busted for secretly and illegally entering Syria to meet with ISIL to coordinate strategy on that warfront.

Clearly the ISIL is an ally to the US government in both Iraq and Syria. ****(and Libya)The command headquarters operating out of the US Embassy in Baghdad has been overseeing the US military airdrops of war supplies to our purported latest enemy in various provinces throughout Iraq. Back in October the US lied about an accidental dropping of supplies that went to the Islamic State jihadists instead of to the Kurds. The strategy in Iraq is to prolong the “war” against ISIL in order to ensure that permanent US military bases there get established, something recently deposed Iraqi President Maliki refused. It wasn’t so much Maliki’s poor leadership that spearheaded persecution and killing of so many Sunnis during his reign of terror that caused Washington to finally pull the plug on him. It was his kicking Americans out of his country entirely at the end of 2011 that brought his US orchestrated removal from power several months ago.

Just as the US Empire created al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden back in the 80’s to finish off the Russians in Afghanistan, then backed al Qaeda’s ethnic cleansing of Serbs in Kosovo and Bosnia, paving the way for bin Laden to play the heavy in collusion by Saudi-Israeli assistance to pull off the coup d’etat of the century on 9/11, it all became false pretext to wage permanent war on terror. Now that the US government has torn the Middle East asunder into multiple war ravaged failed states, with these latest revelations coming out of Iraq, the US cover has been completely blown – ISIL turns out to be just another axis-of-evil Empire creation by the US-Israeli-Saudi governments. Based on these latest on the ground ACCOUNTS filtering in through Iranian and Iraqi intelligence sources, those previous reports from months ago on how the United States was covertly financing and training this “new and improved” brand of Islamic State terrorism again created by the US turns out to be absolutely true.

Like al Qaeda in the 1990’s Balkans, ISIL is the latest US mercenary terror on the ground fighting the US proxy war in Syria against Bashir al Assad’s forces and then seven months ago when ISIL invaded Iraq, it created the perfect excuse to deploy once again US troops on the ground in Iraq, remove former US puppet Melawi, set the stage for balkanizing Iraq into three separate entities (Kurds, Shiites and Sunnis) and fight a fake war against ISIL long enough to regain a military foothold in the country while following through with the overall longtime agenda to thoroughly destabilize the entire region.

And then with the menace of ISIL committing ethnic cleansing of Christians and moderate Moslems in both Iraq and Syria, the US once again masterminded another thinly veiled excuse for air strikes on Syrian soil, something Obama was not allowed to do the year before with the chemical weapons false flag. Of course instead of taking out ISIL, in recent months both Israeli and US military air strikes have been destroying Syria’s infrastructure, taking out oil refineries and food storage silos that hurt the Syrian people, not the supposed enemy ISIL.

In reaction to last September’s international spectacle of the ISIL beheadings of American and British journalists, which have been speculated to be fake, President Obama was grandstanding with his usual self-righteous acting job, pretending to be enraged and shocked by the latest US made Frankenstein monster, vowing to chase the latest declared enemy down, root them out and destroy them, wherever they may be, in both Iraq and Syria. Now we all know it was more theater, the imperial wizard behind the Empire curtain mimicking his rehearsed lines on the international stage, indignantly placating the world as a wannabe good guy. Seems that everything our commander-in-chief utters is fake, disingenuous and for show only. If in fact the US truly wanted to defeat ISIL, with technological capacity and precision as the world’s most powerful killing machine, within a month the US could easily locate and destroy ISIL forces.

Long ago even prior to 9/11 the neocon game plan still being acted out today was to wreak havoc in the Middle East and North Africa, taking down one regime after the next, plundering oil rich lands for Exxon, Shell and BP, carving up and devising chessboard pipelines to Europe while isolating and cutting off Russia and Iran oil and gas routes, waging the blood for oil conquest for global hegemony at the murderous expense of the darker skinned human population that happens to be Muslim.

Using terrorist mercenaries comes in handy to fight US Empire’s proxy wars where bulk deployment of more American troop invasions from a war-weary nation would not be tolerated. So 1400 US military “advisors” to coordinate the fake war against ISIL in Iraq also becomes the flimsy excuse to go after Syria after all. Taking down Assad in Syria is still the flimsy excuse to then go after Iran, the final Middle East conquest. Of course taking down Iran remains the ever so worn out excuse to also go after cold war enemy Russia [again]. This deceptive strategy and bottom line agenda masquerades as the actual US presence throughout the Middle East. Only by now the world is onto US Empire aggression. The humanitarian rhetoric of lies will no longer work as that game hand’s been played too many times before. No one will be fooled any more, not even the Americans.

Notice how every time the US government is about to be fully exposed in another boldface lie, this one being that ISIL is our sworn enemy, another wag the dog “terrorist” incident suddenly comes along to divert world attention. This time it was three heavily armed and trained gunmen in Paris attacking the office of the French satire magazine Charlie Hebdo, tragically killing twelve people. Of course like the US, France is notorious for arming and funding al Qaeda terrorists. The French foreign minister just accompanied McCain to Syria in their meeting with the ISIL “enemy” there. Questions of speculation over the government’s potential involvement in another false flag are being raised.

Not only does the attack temporarily take the heat off another sinister US foible being unraveled, it also gives strength to the war on terror, pumping up the rationale for creating yet more anti-terror laws, more totalitarian oppression in the name of national security and more anti-Muslim hatred around the globe. Though today’s attackers were French citizens, the anti-immigration and anti-Islam sentiment raging throughout the Western nations seems ready to boil over. All this of course conflict and violence is just what the oligarchs have ordered, using their age old WINNING formula of divide and conquer, always to blind people into hating and blaming other groups as scapegoats. The latest current events sweeping the headlines are part of the banking cabal’s design to create war, destabilize and destroy nations and economies and impoverish, kill and reduce the global population.

A Timeline: Where did the Paris Shooters Get Their Weapons?

A Timeline: Where did the Paris Shooters Get Their Weapons?

Editors note: I really can’t understand why the Western Mass Media is making such a fuss over this terror attack? Although I condemn it, I will not cry over it because France is responsible for so many genocides done in Africa, Middle East, Canada just a few out of my head, so why the outcry? Did France, Britain and the USA think are invisible? Did they think that their little pets (jihadists groups, al qaeda, Isis, Nusra, Daash and whatever other name of these groups they have groomed to perfection their financing could feed all of the starving children in Africa, homeless all over Europe and America and they have armed to the teeth….. so please could one sane person explain to me what these three mongrel nations were thinking at the time? That these little monsters will not outgrow their benefactors? If so then these nations and the Elite who are controlling them are not very bright; on the other hand I am wondering who benefits of this tragedy? Surely not the civilians they are going to lose more freedom rights under the boogie man called terrorism which the right words would be OPERATION GLADIO SPONSORED TERRORISM IN EUROPE remember in the 70’s, 80’s the white cells etc… yes my friends the operation Gladio is coming back. SO LETS CRY A RIVER FOR FRANCE ONCE THAT WE DO NOT CRY ANY RIVERS FOR LIBYA, SYRIA, PALESTINE, IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, BAHRAIN, YEMEN, PAKISTAN, SOMALIA, and wherever else there is a PROXY WAR costing millions of innocent people’s deaths. Yes my friends we do not take any notice of these people who die for nothing just because the Elite and their mongrels want to steal their resources.

Heavily armed, well-trained gunmen executed what appears to be a well-planned attack in Paris, France, killing 12, including 2 police officers. Where did these terrorists get their weapons, training, political backing, funds, and inspiration? A short timeline featuring news stories from 2011 to 2014 helps explain how France’s recent national tragedy could have been the direct result of its own insidious, callous, terroristic foreign policy that has visited this very same carnage seen in Paris, upon the people of Libya and Syria, a thousand fold.

2011 – France supplying weapons to Libyan rebels, London Telegraph:

A French military spokesman, Colonel Thierry Burkhard, said it had provided “light arms such as assault rifles” for civilian communities to “protect themselves against Col Gaddafi”.

But the decision to arm the rebels is a further move towards direct involvement in the land war on top of the air war against Col Muammar Gaddafi. The Nafusa rebels have come closest to breaking through to Tripoli itself of any of the front lines of the conflict, while three months of Nato bombing have failed to dislodge Col Gaddafi from power.

Le Figaro, the French newspaper which first reported the air drops, said the shipment included rifles, machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades, along with Milan anti-tank missiles.

2011 – Libyan rebel commander admits his fighters have al-Qaeda links, London Telegraph:

Abdel-Hakim al-Hasidi, the Libyan rebel leader, has said jihadists who fought against allied troops in Iraq are on the front lines of the battle against Muammar Gaddafi’s regime.

2012 – France to push for arming Syria’s opposition coalition, the BBC:

France’s foreign minister has said he will discuss supplying arms to the Syrian opposition coalition with European partners.

The government plans to push for a relaxation of the EU arms embargo to Syria to enable “defensive arms” to reach opposition fighters.

2013 – Syria crisis: France and Britain move a step closer to arming rebels, the London Guardian:

France and Britain have moved a step closer to arming the opposition to the Assad regime in a radical move aimed at tipping the balance in the two-year civil war while also ignoring European policy on Syria.

The French president, François Hollande, went into an EU summit in Brussels with a dramatic appeal for Europe to join Paris and London in lifting a European arms embargo, but the sudden policy shift was certain to run into stiff German opposition.

2013 – Syrian rebels pledge loyalty to al-Qaeda, USA Today:

A Syrian rebel group’s April pledge of allegiance to al-Qaeda’s replacement for Osama bin Laden suggests that the terrorist group’s influence is not waning and that it may take a greater role in the Western-backed fight to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad.

The pledge of allegiance by Syrian Jabhat al Nusra Front chief Abou Mohamad al-Joulani to al-Qaeda leader Sheik Ayman al-Zawahri was coupled with an announcement by the al-Qaeda affiliate in Iraq, the Islamic State of Iraq, that it would work with al Nusra as well.

2014 – France delivered arms to Syrian rebels, Hollande confirms, France 24:

President Francois Hollande said on Thursday that France had delivered weapons to rebels battling the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad “a few months ago.”

France Isn’t the Only One

The cartoonish nature of France first being reported to give weapons to “rebels” before these “rebels” are reported to be, in fact, Al Qaeda is not simply France’s bad luck. It is part of NATO’s very intentional, vast network of global state-sponsored terrorism. It would be reported that terrorists armed by the US in Syria with antitank missiles sided with Al Qaeda franchise and US State Department listed foreign terrorist organization, Al Nusra.

The Daily Beast would report in its  September 2014 article, “Al Qaeda Plotters in Syria ‘Went Dark,’ U.S. Spies Say,” that:

One Syrian rebel group supported in the past by the United States condemned the air strikes on Tuesday. Harakat Hazm, a rebel group that received a shipment of U.S. anti-tank weapons in the spring, called the airstrikes “an attack on national sovereignty” and charged that foreign led attacks only strengthen the Assad regime. The statement comes from a document, purportedly from the group, that has circulated online and was posted in English translation from a Twitter ACCOUNT called Syria Conflict Monitor. Several Syria experts, including the Brookings Doha Center’s Charles Lister, believe the document to be authentic.

Before the official statement, there were signs that Harakat Hazm was making alliances in Syria that could conflict with its role as a U.S. partner. In early Septemeber a Harakat Hazm official told a reporter for the L.A. Times: “Inside Syria, we became labeled as secularists and feared Nusra Front was going to battle us…But Nusra doesn’t fight us, we actually fight alongside them. We like Nusra.”

This group would later be reported by the Western press as having “surrendered” to Al Qaeda. The International Business Times would claim in its article, “Syria: Al-Nusra Jihadists ‘Capture US TOW Anti-Tank Missiles’ from Moderate Rebels,” that:

Weaponry supplied by the US to moderate Syrian rebels was feared to have fallen into the hands of jihadist militants affiliated to al-Qaida after clashes between rival groups.

Islamist fighters with Jabhat al-Nusra seized control of large swathes of land in Jabal al-Zawiya, Idlib province, at the weekend, routing the US-backed groups the Syrian Revolutionaries Front (SFR) and Harakat Hazm, activists said.

Washington relied on SFR and Harakat Hazm to counter Isis (Islamic State) militants on the ground in Syria, complementing its air strikes.

Clearly, Harakat Hazm willingly pledged allegiance to Al Qaeda, bringing with them Western armament. Much of Al Qaeda’s weapons, CASH, training, and backing has been supplied by the West through similar “laundering” arrangements – intentionally – with plans to arm Al Qaeda and use it as a mercenary force against Western enemies in the Middle East laid as early as 2007.

Al Qaeda was intentionally organized and directed by the US, Saudi Arabia, and Israel to engage in a regional confrontation aimed at Iran and its powerful arc of influence including Syria, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and now apparently Iraq. A similar gambit played out in North Africa during NATO’s war with Libya. Before that, in the 1980′s, the US CIA notoriously created Al Qaeda in the first place to fight a proxy war against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.

This most recent use of Al Qaeda was exposed by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh in his 2007 article,  ”The Redirection: Is the Administration’s new policy benefiting our enemies in the war on terrorism?” it which it was stated explicitly that (emphasis added):

To undermine Iran, which is predominantly Shiite, the Bush Administration has decided, in effect, to reconfigure its priorities in the Middle East. In Lebanon, the Administration has coöperated with Saudi Arabia’s government, which is Sunni, in clandestine operations that are intended to weaken Hezbollah, the Shiite organization that is backed by Iran. The U.S. has also taken part in clandestine operations aimed at Iran and its ally Syria. A by-product of these activities has been the bolstering of Sunni extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam and are hostile to America and sympathetic to Al Qaeda

Now these “extremist groups that espouse a militant vision of Islam” and who are “sympathetic to Al Qaeda” are running loose in France spilling French blood, with and inexhaustible supply of weapons and CASH courtesy in part of the French government itself, and with years of combat experience fighting Paris and the rest of NATO’s proxy wars for them everywhere from Libya to Syria.
