The Ugly Truth of the New Democracy in Libya: Torture in the Prisons of Libya after Gaddafi

The Ugly Truth of the New Democracy in Libya: Torture in the Prisons of Libya after Gaddafi

I am posting you two videos one shows the horrors of torture and the other video talks of what really goes on in prison.

OBAMA, CAMERON, SARKOZY and the rest of Europe was asking for the head of Qaddafi they were saying he is going to kill his own people. So the illegal war started in March 2011 exactly at the time when all oil contracts expired, coincidence you would say, nothing in this life is a coincidence everything was preplanned.

The fine establishment of France, UK and US are the sole responsible for all the destruction in the Middle East and North Africa. If you check these countries are affiliated with Israel. You may tell me that the Arab league did the initiation but then check who are sitting in the Arab League are all sold outs to Israel.

‘Feet or Buttocks?’ Shocking Video Shows Gaddafi’s Son Being Tortured in Libyan Prison

A video that shows Saadi Gaddafi, son of Libya’s late Muammar Qaddafi, being tortured in jail has been condemned by lawyers and rights groups.

The nine-minute video shows Saadi, 42, in a green tracksuit, being hooked up to an improvised rack, apparently while in custody at Tripoli’s maximum security al-Hadba prison. His bare feet are then caned.

Segments show him sitting blindfolded and forced to listen to screams of other detainees being beaten in an adjacent room.

“It raises serious concerns about the methods used to interrogate al-Saadi Gaddafi and other detainees at al-Hadba prison,” said Joe Stork, deputy Middle East Director of Human Rights Watch.

“The Tripoli authorities need to urgently establish exactly what did occur.”

The video’s release, by Arabic network Clear News, has alarmed lawyers worried about the treatment of other detainees at al-Hadba, where former Gaddafi-era officials are held.

“This is a shocking video that raises questions about conditions inside the prison,” said Karim Khan QC, London-based lawyer for Libya’s former prime minister al-Baghdadi al-Mahmoudi, also at al-Hadba. “The international community needs to demand a full investigation.”

Saadi is facing trial on charges including killing a football player while head of Libya’s football federation. During his father’s time in power, he established a reputation as a playboy and had a brief unsuccessful career playing for several Italian football clubs.

The undated video, consisting of several segments, was apparently made by Saadi’s captors, some of whom are seen in the footage in military uniform. At one stage, a captor asks Saadi if he wants to be beaten on the “feet or buttocks”. He answers: “What kind of question is this? My feet.”

Al-Hadba is held by Libya Dawn, a militia alliance that controls Tripoli and is battling forces of the internationally recognised government based in the east of the country.

The release of the video comes a week after Tripoli authorities pronounced death sentences for Saadi’s older brother, Saif al-Islam , and eight other former Gaddafi-era officials, including Mahmoudi, after a trial condemned by rights groups and the United Nations as lacking due process. Saif al-Islam was tried in absentia, since he has been held since 2011 by a former rebel group in Zintan, a region beyond Tripoli’s control. Right groups say the verdict was riddled with flaws.

Despite the manner of his downfall, still enjoys pockets of goodwill.

In a rare demonstration, supporters in the eastern city of Benghazi on Tuesday shouted “Muammar, Muammar”, but dispersed after opponents opened fire with guns and hurled rocks.

No-one appeared to have been hurt among dozens of supporters of Gaddafi.

The Gaddafi supporters waved pictures of the man who had ruled for 42 years, and demanded the release of Saif al-Islam.

“Only God, Muammar and Libya!” the crowd chanted and waved the green flags of the old regime.

They dispersed after other residents, some of them carrying the Libyan national flag, opened fire.

Residents said this was the first protest of Gaddafi loyalists in Libya’s second-largest city, the cradle of the revolution, since 2011.

Frustration has been building among Libyans with the country’s chaos as two governments fight for power with the help of former rebels who have fallen out along political, tribal and regional lines.

Benghazi has been especially hard hit as fighting between forces allied to the official government based in the east and Islamist groups has closed the port, choking off wheat, food and petrol imports.

Islamist gunmen killed seven foreign hostages in Algeria before being gunned down by special forces in a final assault on a remote desert gas complex, state television said. As I was saying the Western Internet newspapers tend to forget what they write, here is an article about Belmokhtar which was written 01.23.134:45 AM ET by the Daily Beast….

Jihadist behind the desert attack that left scores dead may have once worked as an Algerian informant, U.S. intelligence officials believe. By Eli Lake and Jamie Dettmer

The Jihadist mastermind of last week’s deadly raid on a natural gas facility in the Sahara Desert may once have worked as an agent for Algeria’s secretive internal security agency (Département du Renseignement et de la Sécurité or DRS), according to current and former U.S. intelligence officers.

The jihadist leader Mokhtar Belmokhtar made a name for himself as far back as the 1990s as a successful smuggler earning him the nickname in some circles as “Marlboro Man” for his exploits as a cigarette smuggler. Last year, Belmokhtar broke away from al Qaeda’s North Africa affiliate after being passed over for promotion, and formed a new group called the “Signed in Blood” battalion. On Monday in a video posted to the Internet, he claimed responsibility for the assault on the gas facility.

“There have been persistent questions going back to the 1990s about the ultimate allegiance of many of the emirs of the Algerian jihad movement,” said John Schindler, a former National Security Agency (NSA) counterintelligence officer whose specialty is Algeria’s jihadist insurgency. “Algerian defectors have named several emirs as [Algerian security] agents in the past including Belmokhtar.” And, Schindler said, “it was widely believed in U.S. counterintelligence circles that he was an … agent.”

While his current status is difficult to assess, Schindler stressed that he didn’t believe Belmokhtar was acting on behalf of the Algerian security agency in the hostage-taking this month. But Schindler did point out that Belmokhtar managed to maneuver for years in Algeria as a smuggler and militant without being caught, and often eluded authorities at the last-minute.

A senior U.S. intelligence officer said Belmokhtar was never a formal agent of the DRS but that he worked in a position similar to a confidential informant for a big city police force. “His cooperation with DRS had to do with the particular politics of the Islamist insurgency during its early stages and ceased once their interests no longer aligned,” this officer said.

A European intelligence officer, who declined to be named, says the politics of the region has at times been highly complex with “temporary marriages of convenience” and shifting divisions and alliances forming around trafficking deals that cross over ideological lines. “There’s a lot of money to be made from smuggling and elements in the intelligence services in the region have also had their fingers in the pie.”

The CIA and the Algerian embassy in Washington Tuesday declined to comment for this article. Another U.S. intelligence officer, though, told The Daily Beast that North Africa terrorism analysts have long suspected a connection between Belmokhtar and the Algerian DRS, but that definitive proof was hard to come by. “For the most part this is a black box and we don’t have definitive proof,” said the officer, who requested anonymity. ****Lets  not forget that the Algerian DRS works together with the French DGSE which the DGSE works together with the CIA, Mi6 and Mossad)

Belmokhtar managed to maneuver for years in Algeria as a smuggler and militant without being caught and often eluded authorities at the last minute

The suspicion about Belmokhtar, however, has been shared in the past between U.S. government agencies, documents show. A 2009 cable disclosed by Wikileaks from the U.S. embassy in Bamako, Mali—the war-torn country that borders Algeria and is currently a safe haven for Belmokhtar’s group—recounts the suspicions of a prominent Tuareg leader named Ag Ghalla about Belmokhtar (his name is spelled Moctar bel Moctar in the cable).

The cable dated March 18, 2009 recounts how Ag Ghalla, who was assigned to a Malian consulate in Tamanrasset, Algeria said he asked Algerian interlocutors on several occasions: “Isn’t he working for you?”

The cable, which was sent to the State Department and shared with the CIA and U.S. Africa Command, went on to say “Ag Ghalla professed to be as confused as everyone else regarding the Algerian government’s reticence to go after bel Moctar’s camps in northern Mali. He said he could only conclude that bel Moctar was receiving support from certain quarters of the Algerian government, and then cited bel Moctar’s legendary reputation for last-minute escapes and uncanny knack for never being at the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Daveed Gartenstein-Ross, a senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies and a specialist on al Qaeda, said he did not know if Belmokhtar had indeed at one point been an Algerian government agent. But he did say, “You have a number of jihadi figures who have approached intelligence agencies about serving as double agents, not because they wanted to betray the jihadi cause but rather because they thought they could play the agencies and get more information about their thinking about the jihadis.” Other intelligence sources remain skeptical also that Belmokhtar would have been betraying the jihadi cause.

Suspicions about Belmokhtar are emerging as hostages and their families from more than a dozen countries recounted to their local media stories of survival and death in the desert. Meanwhile, Canadian authorities were left scrambling in the wake of claims by the Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal that two Canadians were among the 29 militants killed at the remote In Amenas natural gas facility 60 miles from the Libyan border.

This image from video provided by the SITE Intel Group made available Thursday Jan. 17, 2013, purports to show militant militia leader Moktar Belmoktar. Algerian officials scrambled Thursday Jan. 17, 2013 for a way to end an armed standoff deep in the Sahara desert with Islamic militants who have taken dozens of foreigners hostage, turning to tribal Algerian Tuareg leaders for talks and contemplating an international force. The group claiming responsibility — called Katibat Moulathamine or the Masked Brigade — says it has captured 41 foreigners, including seven Americans, in the surprise attack Wednesday on the Ain Amenas gas plant. Algerian Interior Minister Daho Ould Kabila said the roughly 20 well armed gunmen were from Algeria itself, operating under orders from Moktar Belmoktar, al-Qaida's strongman in the Sahara. The Algerian premier said one of them, who used the Moroccan name of ‘Chedad’, coordinated the attack. He says the Canadians were of Arab descent, prompting terrorism experts to speculate whether either or both were Algerian by birth. Several Al Qaeda-linked Canadian citizens in the past have originated from Algeria.

Canada’s Foreign Minister John Baird told Canadian television that the country’s intelligence service is trying to identify “these alleged Canadians.” Other Canadian officials cautioned that the passports found on the dead militants could be forged. However, several hostage survivors have reported that one of their captors spoke with a strong North American accent.

In April 2012, the head of Canada’s spy agency said they had tracked 60 Canadians who had traveled to the Gulf, Pakistan, or Afghanistan to join Al Qaeda or similar terrorist groups.

A handful of Canadians of Arab descent have been publicly implicated in Al Qaeda activities or imprisoned for terrorism. They include Faker Ben Abdelazziz Boussora a 49-year-old who was born in Tunis and has a $5 million U.S. bounty on his head. His nom de guerre is Abu Yusif al-Tunisi. Along with a Montreal companion, Abderraouf Jdey, he was identified on a 2002 videotape found in the Afghanistan home of the late Al Qaeda military chief Mohammed Atef, pledging to die as a martyr, or shaheed.

Another is Kuwaiti-born Amro Badr Abou el-Maati, who has been described as “Canada’s most wanted terrorist,” and Ahmed Ressam, nicknamed the “Millennium Bomber,” who was born in Algeria in May 1967 and was convicted for attempting to bomb Los Angeles International airport on New Year’s Eve 1999. Ressam is serving a 37-year sentence.

Other Canadians linked to Al Qaeda include the Khadr family. The father, Ahmed Said Khadr, has been alleged to have been a close associate of Osama Bin Laden, and his son Omar pled guilty to killing a U.S. soldier in Afghanistan and conspiring with Al Qaeda. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have alleged “the entire family is affiliated with al Qaeda and has participated in some form or another with these criminal extremist elements.”

Four years ago, a Canadian, Momin Khawaja, was jailed for 10 years for his role in a fertilizer bomb plot in Britain. The 33-year-old made several trips from his home in Ottawa to the U.K. He said he was seeking a wife.

Sources from Belmokhtar’s group told London-based Arabic newspaper Asharq Alawsat that despite losing all the militants in the attack—three were captured alive—they consider the raid “successful by all standards.” In the video Belmokhtar released on Monday (Jan 21), he said the assailants were ready to die. “They pledged before God to achieve victory and restore pride or attain martyrdom and paradise.”

The Global Murder Of Libya

The Global Murder Of Libya

By Jim Kirwan

Libya was a literal earthly paradise, before the world unleashed
Their barbaric dogs-of-war upon her.
No one mentions the REPARATIONS that must be paid
To the survivors of that Genocide

France, US Inc., Britain, Sweden, Greece, Germany, Italy and Canada, promoted that war and it was carried out by the UN, NATO and Israel.
This was a massive and totally illegal war that was started and maintained
By lies, lies and more lies the time has come for the criminals
To pay for that crime!
This could all have been stopped if Russia or China
Had dared to block the vote in the UN
But no nation did.

By allowing this to happen, in and to Libya, the global outlaws paved the way for Syria, and Ukraine that will soon be followed by the end of the USA.
The media worldwide joined in creating a fake-firestorm-of-lies that was directed against one of the most prosperous and free nations on this earth. Its people shared directly in the profits from Libyan Oil, the richest oil produced, in which the entire nation had a share. Libya refused the Rothschild’s banks along with US dollars for their oil. Libya was preparing the Libyan Gold-Dinar that threatened the filth that always comes with the exclusive use of US Dollars, to buy oil. Libya had already begun to support many of the other nations in her region of the planet, and therefore she had to go.

Libya discovered and had begun to share in a Pleistocene-Age river of underground water that Libya had begun to develop – to turn the whole of North Africa into an earthly garden, and its people were some of the most well educated and the most free in all the world. Their medicine and technology were superior to most of the nations that attacked her for daring to share her wealth with her own citizens. Libya was free and she enjoyed the luxury of living life to the hilt: before the thunderstorm of lies was allowed to bury Libya before the nation was even murdered.

REPARATIONS are overdue to the Libyan people and are far more necessary than even that which was paid for what was done to the war-torn nations of WWII.

Once this Libyan crime was completed, the whole planet adopted the mantra of how brutal Qaddafi had been to his people. Hillary laughed about his murder, and many a ‘western-want-to-be’ echoed similar lies about what Qaddafi and Libya had been before they slaughtered Libya to the point of global-obliteration.

As a result the planet has seen the remaining Libyan people’ turned into “faceless-homeless-migrants” when in fact they are war refugees in need of help.

Maybe that’s why so many were locked below decks in the latest tragedy that claimed so many lives in the sinking of that ship in the Mediterranean Sea.

Link to original site, with more pictures and full article, in Croatian.

But the real crime that has gone unpunished were the Lies behind the War on Libya in 2011 this became the “LIE” that the supposedly leading nations of the world cooperated in completing: Which remains unchallenged to this day.

The leadership from that war, with the exception of USI because it’s far too distant to reach, are all those nations that participated in the genocide of the Libyan population. The French were the leading blood-lust followed by Italy, Britain, Germany, Sweden and the others that jumped on the war-wagons of hellish destruction, to revenge themselves upon a nation that had dared to do what all of them have always refused to do for their own people…

Everyday I listen to the garbage that is still trying to cover-up the horrendous lies behind that unpaid-for war crime, and it still turns my stomach. But I’m not alone: Millions know about what Libya really was and just how much the human race lost when Libya was murdered: In public and in cold-blood that absolutely delighted themselves with the horror that they were bringing to Libya, initially, but to the whole planet now so many years on.

Libya was reduced to SUBMISSION, but the day is coming for those that survived to bring back DEFIANCE into the world that has almost forgotten all the depth of meaning in everything we all do each and every day.

This crime will never be allowed to stand.

The lies behind all of this will eventually surface and those who committed this unthinkable obscenity will pay for that crime one way or another. Meanwhile the reasoning behind the refugees from the Libyan War will continue to seek refuge from the same criminal states that were and still are massively responsible for turning them into globally dislocated war-refugees. There has never been a mystery about any of this. What is transpiring over the global-airwaves is a global-cover-up that will eventually have to be told in every gory detail…

The deaths of all those ‘refugees’ in that boat, will be just the beginning of what will inch by inch be revealed about the corruption’s of this planet worldwide.

What Libya taught Europe about playing with fire

What Libya taught Europe about playing with fire

There is no way around it: The western intervention in Libya was in vain.

Americans, perhaps, have the luxury of feeling sorry for themselves about it. But in Europe, the feelings are of a different order and urgency. According to recent estimates, it is now likely that somewhere between half a million and a million persons will try to cross the Mediterranean this summer.

British authorities, joined in Europe’s belated effort to prevent mass drownings, predict 500,000 will leave shore, according to The Washington Post. Libyan officials, reported Voice of America, say one million illegal immigrants alone plan to climb aboard packed smugglers’ boats in the weeks and months to come.

For Americans grown used to a dwindling stream of unlawful border crossings from Mexico, the Mediterranean situation is a nightmare of complexity, staggering in scale. Many foreigners are vying not to escape to Europe but to make their way home — to Ghana for instance, from which workers and businessmen looking for opportunity came to Libya’s coastal cities in years past, and now find themselves in a long line to trade one humanitarian catastrophe for, quite plausibly, another.

But, of course, U.S. policymakers have not brought themselves to see the problem as their own. Along with their counterparts in the EU, they refuse to pick a side in Libya’s chaotic struggle for order among rival militias. The Islamic State, with whom we are allegedly at war, has seized the opportunity to capture Sirte, a strategic city midway between Tripoli and Benghazi that supplies half of all Libyans with electricity.

When President Obama ordered airstrikes against the Gadhafi regime, he did so out of fear that Benghazi’s 700,000 residents would be subject to a massacre. ****(these 700.000 residents never feared of a massacre because there was no order, it was faked by Obama’s, Cameron’s and Sarkozy’s regime to intervene their partner in this facade is Jalil of the NTC who in 2014 in national TV said that there was no order and the few who were killed were foreign SPOOKS. This how the FALSE FLAG STARTS also there is thisU.S. intelligence did not support the story that Mrs. Clinton used to sell the war in Libya, mainly that there was an imminent danger of a genocide to be carried out by the Gadhafi regime. The intelligence community, in fact, had come to the opposite conclusion: that Gadhafi would not risk world outrage by killing civilians en masse even as he tried to crush the rebellion in his country… the Pentagon and a key Democrat so distrusted Mrs. Clinton’s decision-making on Libya that they opened their own secret diplomatic conversations with the Gadhafi regime, going around the State Department.” There is also this: As secretary of state under President Barack Obama, Clinton didn’t just vote for the war in Libya. She is one of the policymakers most responsible for the decision to go to war and how the “kinetic military action” would be conducted.Make no mistake, Libya was every bit as much of a foreign-policy blunder as Iraq. In some ways, it was worse. Iraq was at least authorized by a congressional vote. Libya was not.”)But another truth must have been at the back of his mind. As Gadhafi’s forces bore down, “Free Libyans” would do what people have done for millennia when confronted with onrushing armies: flee.

It was painfully apparent in March of 2011 that Europe couldn’t handle a wave of war refugees hundreds of thousands strong spilling into the EU’s weakest, most precarious economies. Now, with Greece on the brink and Italy straining to maintain stability, a wave of “boat people” the size of Benghazi itself would follow a humanitarian disaster with an economic one.

Europe’s response has been to bristle. Terrified that Libya will become a sucking wound, drawing in migrants from as far afield as Somalia, Afghanistan, and the imploding nation of Syria, the EU has made concerted preparations for an interdiction force designed to crack down on human smuggling. ****(I doubt that as human smuggling is a BILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS… Europe will do nothing) In a strategy document obtained by The Guardian, planners noted the potential for an intervention on Libyan soil itself, where “heavy military armaments (including coastal artillery batteries) and military-capable militias present a robust threat to EU ships and aircraft operating in the vicinity.” ***(they intentionally do not mention that there are Russian and Chinese naval ships doing their naval exercise in the Mediterranean sea near the vicinity of the Libyan waters, which also complicates things as European and American ships can not doc on the Libyan ports and support the JIHADISTS which are ISIS/DAESH, LIBYAN DAWN, SHARIA, MUSLIM BORHTERHOOD. Just mentioning it. This is not a coincidence)

To state the obvious, a poorly led or ad hoc approach to this degree of escalation is certain to end in tears. “It is hard to imagine that these groups will stand by while European militaries operate on their turf,” Foreign Policy noted, “even if the targets of EU operations are smugglers rather than militants. The danger of armed action escalating out of control, and leading to further loss of innocent life, is very real.”

To be sure, smugglers are profiting handsomely while civilians are dying at sea en masse. Last week, over 2,000 perished, while one smuggler profiled by The Independent boasted a monthly income of $200,000.

But without a full-dress invasion and protectorate in Libya, Europe’s half-cocked halfway intervention is most likely to create only greater death and confusion. European leaders know they cannot count on America to bail them out this time around. The duty to lead therefore falls to France, the major power most committed morally and politically to the original Libyan crusade. France will have to take charge to forestall the kind of horror its attack on Gadhafi was designed to prevent.

This is a harsh lesson for Paris. Even more, it is a sobering signal of the new world Europe has finally been plunged into. Crisis does not stop at the eurozone’s edge. And despite the continent’s unwillingness to meet America’s demand to swell its own military budgets, the threat posed by Russia is one that will always draw in the U.S. The tragedy unfolding in the Mediterranean is different. It is Europe, and Europe alone, that will now have to risk acting in vain.
